John 7:37-38
[37] Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. [38] The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”
James 1:14-17
[14] But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. [15] Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it has run its course, brings forth death. [16] Do not be deceived, my beloved brothers and sisters. [17] Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
This is the verse I couldn't remember! Specifically the end of it.
Luke 6:45
[45] The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
I misquoted this verse, but the point still stands if we think about Luke 6:45 and Matt. 15:11 together. Whatever is in your heart comes out of your mouth therfore defiling you if you are speaking evil.
Matthew 15:11
[11] It is not what enters the mouth that defiles the person, but what comes out of the mouth, this defiles the person.”
