Thanks for the video and the part! My fridge was a slightly different model but very similar. So a few screws later, avoided the 225$ repair cost for about 75$, thanks!

I have a ground wire connection from the coil to the bracket. Do I connect the fan's ground to the bracket too?
Yes the fan's ground wire should be connected to the bracket. If you look in the video at the 4:19 it shows where the fan ground wire would go on the bracket.
I have a very similar model. After replacing the fan, it keeps running all the time. It's constantly on and doesn't turn off at all. The freezer temperature has already dropped below -11°F but it doesn't stop. According to the manual, the freezer temperature ranges between -6°F and 6°F Also when I open the freezer door, the fan speed doesn't change (as I've heard it should when the freezer door opens.) I'd appreciate any tips. I've set the temperature to the recommended 0°F several times using the front display panel, but after several hours, it's still going down. My suspicion is faulty sensors or the board, but I'm not sure how to test for that. Do these fridges have a diagnostics mode that can be activated?
What is the model number of your fridge and we can look into this for you. The fan shouldn't change speeds at all.
Hello, is there a video on how te chrck and repair a broken thermostat on a Hotpoint (HTS17GBSARWW) The fridge is supposed to have 9 settings 1-9 for how cold you want. However, mine just has off and Antarctic! if rotate the dial around from off (0) to (6) about where it kicks in it will freeze everything in the freezer & fridge... even if you set the dial back to (1).
I figured it's probably the thermostat but, I would appreciate any advice! Thank you in advance!!!
At this time we don't have a video showing you how to test it, but with what you have explained with what is going on with your thermostat it does sound as if it has failed and you do need to replace it.
If fridge is not getting cold and freezer is working fine do you think it is motor?
You could be having an air flow issue. You may want to check the vents for any blockages or check the damper to see if it is stuck.
thanks for the video,,, i bought new one, still not working
Did you figure out what the issue was? I’m about to try this because I know for sure my fan doesn’t work.
@@ericalashay0209 yeah,,, I received the new fan broken, i replaced again, and works it fine.
@@TioDomar oh ok great! I ordered a fan and it was the wrong one 🤦🏽♀️ so now I’m returning the first fan and about to order the correct one and see if it works! I’m glad yours got fixed!
