I just got two books from my library on refashioning…Refashion, Restyle Restitch by Debbie Shore and The Refashion Wardrobe by Lawrie. Have not studied them but clearly a concept whose time has come!
Super pattetn choices for you! That blue fabric is going to look solendid whatever it becomes.....watch those sleeves on the Munro...I had to redo my first one and I think lots of people had same issue! Think the Brynn will be fab....def. on my list for next year! I have several presents on my sewing queue ...just finished a bestie bag which is such a nice make. Then some Isle jeans and a vernon shirt for me but theres some warm brown viscose velvet waving at me too 😂
I love the sleeveless vest brynne after a few tweeks Be mindful of the negative ease at the bust (i changed that) The arm syche was just a little odd on me so i recut it using my fav tank go-to "tidal top" Love Notions... Much better fit for me I hate button placket on knit vest much prefer zip. Button placket just go wonky on knits after awhile... Unless you make them fake....I just used the button line after changing the ease at the bust. I'm 5'8" so added ¾" both above the waist and below the waist. Now it's perfect Cut out a 2nd one out of a fake stretch suede. I'm looking at my really old torn leather ¾ length jacket.... That i haven't won for prob 15 years. Leather jackets... Are so so heavy.... And blah I'm thinking it'll make a great brynne vest???
A column skirt would look lovely with the vest fabric!! The brown turtleneck would work with it too!
Ohhh yes!

I will look these up!
Hi Whitney. The Monroe turtleneck needs very stretchy fabric as the arms are very TIGHT.
I'm laughing because I just sewed it up and YES you're so right! I think it's ok but I'm going to size up for my next one. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks! Yes- the Monroe is tight! I found a good fix for my second one. Your plans sound fabulous!
Mimi G just made a brown turtleneck out of that fabric and you will love it.
