  • The vast majority of content sites have reported a significant drop in their traffic. This originally started with the September 2023 Helpful Content Update, with the March 2024 Core Update being the final nail in the coffin.
However, many major domains have in fact seen an improvement in their rankings. Major businesses are swarming the SERPs killing smaller websites being operated on a shoestring budget.

After this update, all my sites except one got hit and I barely get traffic. So I have shutdown 5 of my sites and left the one. Just got to the point where its clear running a website with Google is no go for me. Started a new venture in the ai video sector and so far looking good. Just sick and tired of Google.

      Yea it is certainly challenging.

Yes, what you can say is that domain authority protects against the update. But it would also be funny if the backlink profile did not protect you, so that many large sites would also be affected.
Are there currently any websites that have recovered from the update or is it currently not possible to recover from it?

Yes it is possible to recover. I've helped websites recover from the September update which haven't been hit by the March update. But it depends on if you are willing to put in the time, money and effort needed to do it.

Do you have any customer projects that you can publish where you were able to restore traffic after the update?

Yes. I'm trying to convince all of them to allow me to do a case study. If one of them agrees, I'll put it together and publish it right here.

March trust factors you can't fake update = more back links. I checked a few sites now and it pushed down good content if it wasn't reinforced with some links
