Yuqi's scene with the hands around her imitating flames always felt like a direction reference to Soojin's scene in Lion but with clawed hands, and Minnie's crawling felt like the backup dancers' moves in Lion too. Even the Super Lady choreo for the chant at the end looked to have references to Nxde and Queencard's choreo. Very well made video!
I've never seen anyone explaining (G)-Idle better than you. I hope people can actually understand what their songs are about instead of accusing them of having meaningless lyrics. The color schemes....Idle used black and red to showcase the album content. but then there's wife. white and cyan, inverted colors of black and red. they don't sing in the mv either as wife is antithetical to the entire album nd to gidle. just as the only song to be in trash bin of the computer, instead of being in the album folder. genius.

I'm just a casual listener to both gidle and le sserafim, but at the very least they have a similar scandal and similar outcome in common. Both groups turned into a five members group due to bullying scandals. Also le sserafims yunjin aspires to make her own music, so self produced, written etc. similar to what gidle already achieved. I don't know about her groups tracks but she regularly releases her solo songs. Especially idoll has thematically a lot in common with some gidle tracks. I don't know if she ever talked about it, but I would say it's very likely that gidle is an inspiration for her.

Lipstick is traditionally seen as both a symbol of femininity and represents the major expectation on women to always be made up, perform feminity and beauty, and conform to societal expectations by wearing makeup. The idea of a woman having her lipstick smeared usually implies a woman who is breaking down, whose life is falling apart etc (think about all the movies you've seen where the main heroines life is a mess and how she's portrayed - with smeared makeup). So here Gidle is going against and rejecting that narrative and expectation, effectively saying that even if it looks their life is falling apart, they're still strong and capable super ladies ❤

If she had any time to poke her head away from anything work related it probably was to eat and watch anime. She barely did sightseeing (as we saw from the behind-the-scenes footage CUBE released). So Baddie as a reference seems a bit contrived.
