Happy Sunday morning! Toni and I recorded this cover of Rocket Man in a house in the middle of the desert when it was 118 degrees Fahrenheit outside, and we turned the A/C off so you didn't have to hear it roaring and rattling in the background. That definitely created a sense of "don't mess this up because you only have about five minutes before the desert melts you." Nothing like a little heat to make that first take count! :) Hope you enjoy our version of Elton John's classic song.

      2 Peter 3;13

Understanding chords and harmony, blended with rhythmic choices are so beautifully presented. One thing many of us might enjoy is, at the end of your Sunday Morning videos, if you could give us a bit of background on why a particular song was chosen and why key and tempo choices were made. Your interpretations are as good as it gets. Thanks for sharing!

I loved your take on this! You've really made it your own. Your music seems to be hitting another level these days. The vocals are outstanding! The confidence of Toni's playing is on full display!
And, you have a nice color pallet going on, too! Everything matches!

something about that room reminds me of the Stardust Motel in Las Vegas in the 1960s. Nice earthy background for the song. HaHa

This song deserves to be played in a van whilst traveling Alaska. Where else might it better breathe and live? Perfectly performed. First take? Let’s say yes, for sure.

I have to say that for a good while, I was quite impressed with the MonaLisa Twins, because of their talent and ability to bring back some of the great tunes, but you two are also doing a fantastic job and I watch you both a lot lately. I watch Josh a lot as well, because I know that all of you work together often. It's great to see such talent in younger people these days and I am talking about rare, great talent. Thanks, beautiful rendition of this song. Unusual choice of a key for the guitar, which made it even better.

Perfect. Brilliant cover of a song that always sounds to me like a David Bowie song. Your arrangement is fascinating, even better, if I may say so, than Elton's original (could just be that I'm partial to guitar music). It's also entirely fitting for the times we're in. It feels to me, as I'm sure it does to many, that we're all floating all alone in our little space capsules waiting for a return to "normal." But "I think it's going to be a long, long time" indeed. I also really dig the 1960s space-era vibe of the decor.
