I can die happy knowing I succeeded in converting you to using trugs and not carrier bags. Nice to see you using your birthday present ❤ not at all jealous of all your tomatoes 😪😂
Hi Gemma, I think the way you are doing your video's are awesome, no need to change anything, keep doing what you doing, you and Vince are doing great job :D
@@GemInTheGarden Yeah it's been good so far, nice to see a video from you early on a Sunday it's made my day, I hope you are having a fab weekend buddy :D
I very much enjoy your videos, I like the idea of one vlog weekly covering off all garden and produce related, but it’s got to fit in with your lifestyle.
Yes please! More of garden related content and things you do in your garden, also loving the info you post regarding what you do with your produce, freezing, preserving, recipes. It's always great to see things you are re-doing in your gardens or allotment, love watching you start from scratch with a project then seeing it through. I am enjoying a mish-mash of everything in the one video myself - your content is great. I've learnt heaps from watching your channel - thank you! (A bonus is watching your lovely Vince at work and your gorgeous tabby, lol) Much love from New Zealand
Hi Kim 👋 Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It's so helpful 😊 it's great to hear that you enjoy watching Vince and I, and of course our 2 cats, they are called Little Boy and Little Girl and they are brother and sister 🐈 x
It's good to see outside of the allotment as a new gardener and just had a greenhouse built so be nice to see at home etc to give us newbies ideas whom don't have an allotment thanks x
I love the mixture of your videos related to your garden and what you do with your harvests, like freezing your tomatoes and making cider with your apples. As you are busy and as others might be you might want to do videos that are around 15 minutes in length. Hope my comments are helpful. Bottom line I just love watching and catching up on how you’re doing and of course I also learn things.
Wow…that was such a good pruning. I was stunned how different it looked. Went from a jungle to super organised. 35 tomato plants. Wow! Amazing. You’ve gotten some fabulous harvests. I think and gardening related content is relatable to the channel and us viewers. I know you have Vince help you with the editing, so whatever video type works best for you.
I'm amazed that the vines all did so well, I always cram as many in as I can but have never had quite so many, I guess it was a good test to show it can be done 👍 it actually also dawned on me last week that I only fed my tomatoes the day I planted them! Amazing! Shows we probably don't need to mother them like we all do 😅🤣🤣 Thank You Claire that's really helpful 😊 xxx
@@GemInTheGarden I know and then they are talking about a cold snap! I hope the tomatoes ripen in time. It's never been this early for cold temps. We had a great weekend thanks. Made some tomato soup, tomato powder and some sun dried honeycomb tomatoes. Very muggy today and had the back door open as the oven was on for a roast dinner and drying. Last week we planted some Chinese cabbage and kohlrabi. Not sure what is going on with the sugar snap peas. New packet and sowed 20. Only 2 have sprouted! This year has been so crazy hasn't it!? We ended up having to cut back two of our chilli plants as somehow aphids managed to get into the house. Hopefully we can overwinter them upstairs as we are potting up some tomato cuttings. It was a bit sad and had to take them outside through the window to hose them down. I hope we have managed to solve the issue. How was your weekend? Are the kids settling into school ok? Clubs started last week so getting back into the swing of things. x
@AnyKeyLady yes im hoping the tomato's ripen in time, I will be down the plot tomorrow so I will see how they have been getting on. My seeds have been doing the same, not great germination, this year has just been so strange hasn't it! Yes back to school and all settled in and like you say the clubs have started so will be used new routine soon! X
Great video Gemma, I will always watch your channel, all your things seem garden related, so please keep going. I get a lot of good advice & tips from you. Take care.
I love the videos of your allotment and what you are doing because it has helped a lot for me to see what I should try for my garden. Also seeing how to manage the new raised beds at your place is very interesting too
Hi Gemma Wow so many lovely tomatoes you have harvested and some interesting bean seeds to save. Looking forward to seeing you at Malvern next weekend ❤️ x
Some awesome harvests Gemma and great job on pruning. Mine have all been removed now but the green ones are ripening in the house. You’ve got sunshine and we may be getting rain and I’m totally fine with that ☔️. I think your content is great and the mix up is interesting to watch. Have a super week Gem, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
Hey Ali ☺️ I think mine will be coming up shortly too 😀 I am ripening my green ones at home too and they are doing ok 👍 we now have the rain and I think it's here to stay for the week 🌧 hope you've had a great weekend 😀
Yep! Anything garden, veg, seeds etc. I love ideas on what to do with gluts of veg too. Maybe a main weekly one and maybe a few ad hoc ones like your own garden raised beds when you're doing a special additional project ... your choice really -😅
Very envious of the Good mother stallard beans, they are just so pretty. I tried so hard to get a crop but only one plant remains. Honestly I'm happy to watch long or short video's, just do what works best with your daily life.
I'm so pleased with them 😊 something have come out better than I expected this year and other things have been a really poor show, that's gardening though isn't it ☺️ Thank You and have a great weekend ☺️
Hi Gemma hope you’re doing well. You do you & whatever suits your home life, we’re here for the enjoyment 😊 Personally I like a mix of long & short videos, awkward I know. I like grow a longs/how too vlogs along with variety of seeds
Mix it up. Short/Long what ever happens that week....all are fun to watch.
