- A test film featuring Cliff Richard And The Shadows which was recorded by Gerry Anderson and provided to the puppeteers to choreograph the band’s appearance in the 1966 feature film “Thunderbirds Are Go”. An absolute rarity, the film was found in the collection of a retired cameraman.

Hank Marvin is embued with a marvelous skill in his craft that of a brilliant guitsrist.
Nice to see this rare film and how Hank plays the song
That little smile at the very end...what a silly goose, Hank!
Hank Marvin is and always will be the world’s best guitarist
Totally agree with you 👍
Great video.. Hank Marvin is a Legend.
So effortlessly cool!
Hank is a true guitar legend and singlehandedly sold more Fender Stratocaster and Burn's Marvin guitar's during his 1960s heyday.
Long may he continue into the future.
great Hank!!
Amazing, I just found out he was Dave Gilmour's Hero, Nice
Hank B Marvin : my guitar heroe since 54 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love Hank ☺💖
Lovely Burns guitar. Such a shame it got stolen and was never seen by Hank again 😥
I don't know about that. I read a story about him seeing some stolen instruments ( possibly including this one) and he ignored it. Maybe didn't want to get into something heavy.
I saw an early 70s video of Marvin,Welch and Farrar and Hank can be seen playing a white Burns Marvin
The Elvis & Scotty of the UK.
This is cool
Hank was so cute !
Hank the best that's why he a legend
God bless Hank I love u
Catchy tune.... but crazy song...
Hank looks quite hip in this with his hair longer.
Cool
Hank is a legend :D But behind the volume and tone knobs is an empty output socket.. the guitar isn't plugged in
It was only a camera test for the model sculptors and puppeteers to be able to build the models
Where did this come from. Why camera only on Marvin. His haircut makes me think this is the 70s and didn't he play a strat at that time?
1966
This is one of the test films used fir the making of Thunderbirds are go. The Shadows used Burns throughout most of the 60's.
Aren't these videos interesting. I don't think there's any film for any other artist like this.
Notice that this Marvin includes the tremelo arm not fitted to Bruce's. The arm's mechanism is a complicated affair that pivots at the end of the body and a frame type cover is screwed over the top to prevent it's operation being impeded.
The name on the instrument says Handcrafted by Burns whereas modern reproductions say Handcrafted by Burns London...and are made in the far east. They're known for their nasally tone.
The tremelo system developed by Burns was called Rez-O-Tube where each string was anchored individ thru steel tubes for better sustainability
