Comparing Shanghai airport with London airport

- Is it (as some say) rip-off Britain when the cost of transport is almost 200 times more for the same distance? A booking fee for paying cash? Booking fee for paying inline is the same. oh well, life today.
Used to live in NYC. Would fly to HK once a year from there. It was like taking a time machine and traveling into the future, and as amazing as Chek Lap Kok is, I am sure it pales in comparison to some in mainland or other countries like Singapore.
The difference becomes more shocking every single year I go. Whether I am landing in HK, Wuhan, Guanzghou etc. I fly out of LAX and it is not even comparable to these airports.
Cost of living is different. Even the average wage of the two countries is different. So comparison is not fair, for instance, I tried to purchase a beagle here in France, it costs about 1000€ for a puppy, then I saw an Indian YTber selling one at 8030 rupee (89€), I almost wanted to fly to India to buy it.
One airport is in a democracy, another in a one party dictatorship.
Democracy? Or a false Democracy. British didn't get to elect their Prime Minister.
Plutocracy not democracy
And the irony is which ones doing better, not to mention which one are you safer in, strange that.
