Hello, I am flying from Germany to Tokyo and have a stopover in Pudong and I wonder if after I have left Pudong I can go straight to the next gate or if there is a security check in between.
If there is a security check, I need a visa and you get this sticker that you showed in the video on the plane

Hi Guys update on Shanghai airport I just arrived home from holiday London Gatwick to Bangkok via Shanghai with China eastern.
Good airline just as good as Emirates and Qatar. Transit via Shanghai. Simple no problems. Shops not much but enough to get something to eat. Yes they take visa or MasterCard Debit or Credit cards. I would China Eastern again and transit through Shanghai. Thankyou

Hi i am arriving at terminal 2 of shanghai pudong airport at 2:15 pm and have a flight from terminal 1 of pudong airport with different carrier. So is the time enough for transit as i need to immigration and baggage claim?
do you have to apply for a 24hr visa at Shanghai airport if you simply are there for a few hours layover?
No, there‘s a special route for international transfers where you only have to go through security

You don't need any visa if you stay in airport terminal.
