The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.
I hope Amy finds a good guy, she(Amber & Michelle) have such a good relationship with little actress. They are so good with her and you can see that .Hope Georgie finds a keeper, & Caleb too, he is a diamond in the rough. And how Peter & Lou keep their love story ongoing. Would be great to see the series go on, but think many of actors want to go forward.Michelle has 3 lovely kids to mother, family first. I believe that was theme of Heartland,plus helping others into their home. Michelle& Amy are My favorites. In show see importance of forgiveness & love & Hugs even when you do make a mistake, as we all do. Happy Trails if 18 is where the journey ends ....❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
No Caleb relationship with Amy and they need to remain friends status only. Caleb is Lyndy's god parent not a step dad would betray Ty's plans for Lyndy when something happened to him or Amy. The Ty fan base will not have it and that will back fire as bad as Nathan match making Amy after Ty's so called death scenario.

What do all of y'all not understand that Ty passed away. He died of a bullet shot which caused a blood clot. People don't just come back to life it's kind of really sad that all of y'all are putting on here that Amy shouldn't be with anybody else. Is she supposed to stay single forever? "NO"
