The real success of Heartland was and still is the Amy and Ty love story. The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.

I love ❤️ Nathan and Elizabeth, but the way the season ended, I was hoping Jack would come back so he would get to see his Son. I would love to see him return because the chemistry between him.and Elizabeth was even stronger than the chemistry between Nathan and Elizabeth. However, I am glad that Elizabeth has found love again it is with Nathan. I didn't watch any of the series when she was with Lucas. That entire part of WCTH was a total waste of time. Even when I watch the reruns, I skip that part. For me, Lucas never fit into the show, at least not into Elizabeth's life

I hope Amy finds a good guy, she(Amber & Michelle) have such a good relationship with little actress. They are so good with her and you can see that .Hope Georgie finds a keeper, & Caleb too, he is a diamond in the rough. And how Peter & Lou keep their love story ongoing. Would be great to see the series go on, but think many of actors want to go forward.Michelle has 3 lovely kids to mother, family first. I believe that was theme of Heartland,plus helping others into their home. Michelle& Amy are My favorites. Love the love story between Ty and Amy. Heartland will not be the same without Ty. I understand Graham needed to pursue other interests but Heartland will not be the same without him. It's was about the love and commitment of these 2 people and their families

I hate Lilly, I hope she doesn't return. I never liked her in any other movies she made. Her irrogance comes across in her acting. Show off and too cocky. She also rings her hands all the time, constantly, like there is something wrong.

No Caleb relationship with Amy and they need to remain friends status only. Caleb is Lyndy's god parent not a step dad would betray Ty's plans for Lyndy when something happened to him or Amy.
