Not just Chloe. Also Nathan, Victoria,David,Samuel ect. The voice actors of the original LIS were not allowed to voice their characters again because of a strike. But i can't tell you why the strike happened and how long the strike lasted. Ashly Burch and Hannah Telle were allowed to voice Chloe & Max again in the Bonus Episode Farwell but not in Ep1 - Ep3

Just played this last night and it contradicts the main game. Can someone please confirm if this is a separate timeline since this was made by the fans? Because our choices did not manifests in the main game, most people made Chloe in BtS an understanding and crafty person. Then here comes the original game where it felt like she never learned, she is a douche to the people who love and cared for her and she is reckless af and Max is there to save her sorry ass, we get it her Dad died but its like she never learned. Also why are there no people looking Rachel Amber especially since her father is the DA and has 2 mothers?? Three of her parents are still living right after BtS sooo did they just disappeared in her life and did not even bother looking for her body or know who the frick she is dating or been with?? So many inconsistencies and they classify this as good writing? May I remind the developers, that their characters did not develop. What also infuriates me is that I made my choices, I tailored the way Chloe acted with David and her mother, I turned her into an understanding person rather than being a bitch like what we saw in the original?? In the end, did our choices ever really matter??? The only thing that is perfect in Before the fricking Storm is Max, still fucking Max. PS: I really loved the original game, I love this game and I hope this is a separate timeline where Chloe and Rachel are happy, and in Max's return Chloe and Max are just bffs. Also during the photo op where Chloe is calling Rachel, I dunno maybe Rachel went on and became a "model" because their lives are truly strange.
I agree with you that BTS contradicts with the original LIS. There are many things in this game that doesn't fit with the original LIS and that is bothering me. But Chloe's character development here is not bad imo. Rachel has a bad influence on her but she was the only person who was there for Chloe. Their toxic friendship/relationship helped Chloe through hard times but it also explains why Chloe is like she is in Life is Strange. I think BTS is the weakest LIS game with contradictions to the first game but if you fade those out it's still a solid game with a few amazing scenes and great music. 🦋

I personally prefer Chloe from the original LIS because in that game Chloe turns from this cold and very selfish person into a good person who would sacrifice herself for a entire town. Max influence on Chloe brought her good & sweet personality back from her younger 14 years old self while Chloe's influence on Max made her more badass and confident. In BTS it's the other way around. You see a sweet but broken Chloe who becomes this selfish rebel because of Rachel. With your decisions you can play as nice Chloe but in the end she still turns into the selfish person she is at the start of LIS. Except you see it as different timeline, then it can be differently interpreted.
I sacrified chloe, a big decision. But i save arcadia bay a good decision with great loss. Withous sacrifies there is no victory.. How many of u saved whole city.....
