Seriously , this is one the best channel where you can actually learn how to use the device for your own use for any project. I will recommend this to anyone instead of getting lost on click bait titled shallow "tutorials' asking you at the front to subscribe without showing any content. You are well prepared , your knowlegde is vast .Well done!
I'm approaching xgen because I need to bake them as texture for the scalp of my character, I just searched because I want to understand what are all the values you can change and your channel popped out. I'm a big fan of the channel and the rigging tutorials, the way you do it make it seems so easy and fun, thank you man.
Bro, this is the best and i can easily understand what is xgen, i mean my teacher is bad how to explain this, so i am searching up the tutorial but no one is good how to explain, BUT MY BEST FRIEND GIVE ME THIS VIDEO AND, YEAH THIS IS GOOD
Yesterday, I worked on the project, created a hair setup, but today when I opened the project file, the hair and guides are missing. They’re visible in the Outliner but not showing up in the Viewport. What could be the reason for this? Which tutorial should I watch to solve this? Thanks in advance.
The collections are still there in the Outliner as expected. There aren’t any hidden objects. However, the XGen Editor looks as if no Description was created. Previously, I set up the Project Window and Project Set. But today, when I opened the project, I saw that neither the guides nor the hair were visible
The issue of missing XGen hair and guides in Maya can be caused by a few different factors. Since the guides are visible in the Outliner but not in the viewport, it's likely a viewport display setting or render visibility issue. One potential cause could be that the guides are set to be invisible in the viewport, or there might be a problem with the viewport display settings, such as the "XGen Display" option being turned off or the guides not being assigned to the correct render layers. Another possibility is that the XGen description may not be properly linked to the right object or the guides may be hidden due to transform or scale issues in the viewport. To resolve this, check that the "XGen Display" is enabled in the Viewport settings and ensure the guides are set to be visible. Additionally, you can try rebuilding the guides or resetting the XGen scene preferences. If you have attempted any transformations like scaling or hiding in the Outliner, undo those or adjust the visibility settings.
Hey guys, can we unlock the guide once it's behind a convex poligon. Like think a sphere and we can't see the start point of the guide maya locks it, so we don't move it accidentally.
Xgen can use uvs for transferring guides between models but other than that it uses ptx for pretty much everything. However if you want to use mayas built in paint too for your maps you are limited to uvs with just one udim
@@hieunguyen-kv3el yeah xgen interactive works fine, it is a different tool from xgen core though and I assumed core is what is being talked about here :)

My Xgen preview shows blue .Any solution ?
why xgen make a copy of itself after character replace reference in maya 2023?
Is there a link between xgen and UV mapping?
as much I know. Xgen follow ptx not uv sadly. but you need uv for masking
