...You know what's humiliating? When the game keeps giving you Pity Masks but the repeated deaths are from falling (instant death, masks no help). It's like Aku Aku shows up just to mock you... EDIT: You know what's "neighbors call the cops because of the screaming" rage-inducing? When, on your 20th try, you make it through the last T-Rex chase gauntlet with every box hit... and when you land on solid ground over the jump that the rex dies on, the rex's head falls and crushes you DURING HIS DEATH ANIMATION.
The T-Rex chase is very easy, the rage-inducing thing is missing one floating box during the second lava river with flat rock, Why you might ask? Seeing the T-Rex wall jumping gets my nerves.
For anybody who struggles with this level, here's a couple of tips When it comes to the lava bit where you have to slide under the large rocks, keep in mind that your slide completely defies all law of gravity. When you do a slide, you hang in the air until the slide is over, so as hard as it is to fight logic, you just have to remember not to slide then jump immediately, slide then wait until you can see you've cleared under the rock, then jump. It's annoying to get the hang of but it's doable When it comes to the T-Rex, the most well known tip is to not worry about hitting every box yourself, the T-Rex will handle them for you. The most important tip, especially when it comes to that final jump he makes, is that you should never double jump. Be confident with single jumps because as long as you jump at the right time, you will land on target, make sure you get good with the slide jump as well so you don't lose time sliding under stuff. He's definitely not the worst the game has to offer
thank you so much man, I was literally having so much trouble getting through the lava area and I literally went to this video hoping someone put in the comments how to get underneath the rocks in the lava area with sliding. Now I just wait a little bit to push the jump button and I have no problem with it. Thank you again so much
@RJ I've long since got the perfect relic as well but, again, annoying to keep screwing up and restarting the level again, especially with how long (not to Sonic '06 level, mind you) the loading time is.
Yep the dinosaurs hit box is bs. For anyone still struggling you need to do another slide when you land or it will kill you most of the time regardless

Even though this is 3 weeks late, it's during the Dingodile section. There's a TNT crate next to an enemy on the left side of the waterfall that you need to double jump on. It's behind a leaf that obscures the gem, which is brutal without a guide.
I’ve got it guys, APPARENTLY in the last dino run when you jump over the bricks you should get the boxes by yourself because there’s one box that the dino won’t break.. good luck!
@@Boevital After several tests (over 20 to see which boxes the dino breaks), I can confirm this is FALSE. The dino breaks every single box regardless of which ones you break yourself.

The dinosaur destroys it... you don't need to destroy boxes in those chase passages

Even when watching through this guide I’m still 1 box short, why not do a box count check at each checkpoint?
Old games you just had to press triangle to get the box count.
They removed it to pad game time.
