Been at this one for 7 hours now with a dinner break. Toys for Bob have successfully made the game's platinum trophy feel like a 9-5. Have successully made it to the last platform with all the boxes twice now but the trex jumps and catches me somehow, I'm 21 years old in a month and this level is making me cry
I was just about to say that but you already commented. I found out the hard way when I was missing only one box and wondered if it was during the chase so I died and did the chase over again and then saw that there was indeed one box that the Dino doesn’t crush
@@hayesh4 ...I think Sweet Johnny Cage is so used to breaking most of the boxes anyways, so he never realized you have to break that one. But yes, it happened to me as well. I had one or two runs where I got all the boxes but was going for the N.Sanely Perfect Relic, so I kept trying. Then when I finally thought I had it, I missed one box and was so confused. Then I realized it. I got the perfect run on my channel if you want to check it out. Thanks
I swear, no matter how hard I try, I can't break that huge stack of crates in the bonus stage - even when it looks like I'm positioned exactly like you are in the video when I do the belly flop, Crash's face just phases through the boxes
You can also do an alternative. Trigger the TNTs with a spin and wait for them to explode. (Stay on the left side) Then you can use the wooden arrow box to jump up high enough to reach them. Of course be careful with the nitro above, but it actually isn't that hard
8:23 Funny, the bonus platform was easy to spot in the N. Verted level, but even after I saw it, I still missed it on normal because of how well it blends in!
Just realized at 8:27 i dont have the extra life crate spawning in my game. I kept redoing that last check point over and over because I always came up 1 crate short, then I counted every single box he broke in the video and I realized there must be a glitch in my game or something. Seriously, this game is such bull 💩
Holy this level is rough, hardest so far by far. Executing those 2 dino chase bits perfectly missing no boxes and not getting caught at the end is so hard, not to mention how long it takes to get there as well as missing random boxes at some point in the first part. This level has taken me 3 times longer than every other and counting
This T. rex is bs I get to the end with no lives lost and he just suddenly appears right behind me and kills me as I clear the last jump even though I was miles in front
I tried that face plant thing in the bonus but I couldn't get it so as soon as the tnt blew up and stood under the boxes and let them break on my head. 😄
I followed this guide and got those hidden boxes on the dingo path and was excited to get this n sanely perfect relic! And then I touched the very first acid bubble as coco 💀 so I'm taking a break lol
God I hate myself. I always thought you should have 245 boxes after the first dino section. As when I evaluated this the first time, I accidently blew up one nitro crate on the grinding part. Thus, always when I ended up with 244 crates I restartet -.-
Really strange. I broke every box during the chase, I got the same count of them at the end on the platform (302) before blowing up the nitro ones and yet I only have 316 out of 317. Guess my game has glitched... Thanks anyway for the guide!
Yes it is very common I think anyways for crash 4 to glitch a ton, the same thing has happened to me many times. It's unfortunate that these developers will put out broken games. Remember SpongeBob SquarePants for the Nintendo switch that released last June LMAO
@@hayesh4 I retract my comment. Yes I was able to get the box gem and I do not think this game is full of glitches. Now that I've played it for a good 3 weeks or so I think it's possibly one of my top five favorite games of all time and definitely my most favorite crash bandicoot game I've ever played. This game is a gift from God for hardcore crash fans like myself
Wait the Dino gets the boxes anyways? I did not know that!!!! I have been dying over and over on the last part of the chase but you skipped a box and the Dino got it for you anyway???!!! How are you supposed to know that ?
...yes the T-REX breaks the boxes for you except for one located @ 8:09. The downside is that if the T-REX breaks the box, you don't get the Wumpa fruit. So you have to try and get as much Wumpa as possible before the chase scenes
How old are you? This is the case since the first crash game 20 years ago, in every chase, boxes are broken by your pursuer, also, you have eyes, you can see everything you miss gets broken, right?
I really hate this about crash bandicoot 4. I really don’t think that this game is that difficult (yes it’s hard but nothing compared to meat boy or VVVVV) but the amount of times you have to replay levels is so god damn anoying ! Not only toys for bob thought it‘s enough to have a mirrored version from every level, no you have to do a handful of those levels AGAIN just for the sake of some random character and the worst part is that this part is not particularly hard but takes always around 2-3 minutes and after that the parts come where you can easily screw up ( not to mention that this version of levels also requires a mirrored all gem run for 106% & time trial) I really don’t like the journey for the platinum so far and thought a few times of quitting just because this shit takes to much time tho
Thank you first and foremost but it's important that I'm assured that you sucked on ice at first and had to play at least 100 hours before you could git gud.. I need to know for my own sanity.
Oh, rest assured, each level past the first few took me, at the VERY least, a dozen attempts to get perfect. Several of them took me several hours. One level later on took about 8 hours.
@@SweetJohnnyCage Aight I feel better now. Just finished Rock blocked-all boxes finally and only died 117 times 😶. Now to do it pefect.......never gonna happen lol.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I think that's awesome you admit it took lots of time to perfect levels. I notice a lot of comments on guides getting mad cause the person does it perfectly. But 1. The video could just edit the deaths out cause who wants to watch someone die over and over and 2. They did not do it perfectly the very first time lol. Idk why people get so rude.
it's so understated, but THANK YOU for putting in those intermittent box counts throughout the level, really helps to keep track!

There is one box in the last chase part that you MUST break shown @ 8:09. It's the only box the T-Rex doesn't break. It may be worth mentioning.
You are the real hero here

The T-Rex actually breaks it. I never did in my run.

I had this problem as well until I tried sliding for longer than usual before I jumped, in the sliding jump before the belly flop
Try holding the stick towards the boxes while belly flopping. Helped me do it.
@ THANK YOU! As soon as I kept holding forward while belly flopping it worked perfectly! 🙌🏻😊

149 crates end dingo. 212 after checkpoint. 253. Last 275.
Ty so much for your guide. Made a marker for myself. This one bit of a challenge
Ty, your comment helped me
Inaccurate because you can break nitros
You know you only came here for those 2 boxes
I found the lava part after 7 minutes incredibly frustrating
That lava bit at 7:20 gets me every time :(
Thank you for your SUPER guide! It was instrumental in me getting the N. Sanely Perfect relic. You rock! :)

Bro that bonus level really almost made me throw my controller a couple times lol
Thanks again Johnny! You rock
Thanks to your help I now have all the perfect relics wow 😯 your awesome 😎
The only problem I had with this level was with sliding under the rock on the lava part at *7:15*
I lost a lot of lives to that myself!
I think the problem was, I was jumping too soon, causing crash to bump his head and then fall
1:47 you can also jump over to that log and suck up the boxes, pretty funny but not necessarily easier

Same. I literally cant go any faster and he kills me every time on the last jump.
Actually, i just figured it out. On the last jump, land on the left side of the platform 😉👍
Happens to me to.. bland i even jump on left side and still he got me
Definitely the hardest level in Eggipus Dimension
That is the point yes
