Absolutely amazing work guys. I can't thank you guys enough! That is my bike (2023 Husky TE 250) and I never thought I'd see it again. You guys are true professionals. Believe it or not... which I did not. The frame and motor are intact and we plan to rebuild and re-attack the trails next season. This event broke my heart *(and gave just a small taste of mortality). It was an easy section of the trail and just a freak accident that I would have road away from anywhere else. Thank you guys again. I can't wait to get her back together and come buy you guys some drinks next season. Stay safe and keep up the amazing work!!!
Glad you are ok. Not sure how it went but if the bike could go you were too close for comfort. I recently ran myself of a 10ft cliff and landed just past vertical straight into the ground less than 2ft from the cliff face. It was like diving off a diving board into a pool only to find there was no water in it just after take off. I'm recovering but the bike had nothing more than a few scratches. Stuff happens and we ride again. Post a vid of the bike damage. Not so often that particular crash test is done.
@motofunk1 my plan is to document the rebuild as best I can. It will make for a great story and really give the bike some "character " lol. Yeah, it was pretty heart shattering watching her slowly slide over the edge. I'm truly amazed at how durable these things can apparently be.
That's awesome man. Post to build or let the team know. In curious to see what you do with it. When my bike was wrecked after a truck ran me off the highway I rebuild it. The frame was actually fine and it was mostly cosmetic damage so we rebuilt the thing new forks new rear control arm and new wheels and tires along with custom handle bars. Gave it some personal touches along with keeping the old tank since the dent was shaped like my hand. As a moment of the dangers of rideing on public roads.
Just when you think you can't get any more "off-road" than Moab, Mike rappels off a 300ft cliff to extract a vehicle....major props to you guys, amazing team work and ingenuity!!
No offense to other off road recovery folks but this team is unreal. Great planning and safety; Mike showed some skills, that wasn't easy. Well done you guys!
It's inconceivable to me that this channel doesn't have like 5M subs. The BEST original, no nonsense, REAL content anywhere! Every video is amazing, exciting, fun, and funny! Casey LaDelle ❤️!
Giving Casey credit is top shelf. You guys all work together even if you're in different parts of the country . Know matter what the profession sharing is caring.
That was a nice gesture to credit Casey LaDelle with the method of retrieving that bike from where it was. What is really good about UA-cam is that you guys help each other and encourage each other. The camaraderie is wonderful to see. Great job by Mike using his rappelling skills.
@@iffykidmn8170 so...Casey's had about three or four videos along those lines this year. I wouldn't call that "gotten bad". I'd call it "making a living". Stuff like that allows him to do recoveries at no charge. He's also not in Moab where there's an endless supply of recovery job to be had. And maybe some of us like seeing him do a few thing other than recoveries.
I always laugh watching Rory and Mater maneuver rocks. Everyone will be struggling and Rory comes along and makes it look like he’s just driving down the interstate. 😂😂
Thought that too! Oh yeah here's a rock as tall as the truck, Rory and Trail Mater just casually up and over it, while towing a trailer. Typical Tuesday, nothing odd here.
This channel just keeps getting better and better! Mike is a pretty talented guy … videographer extraordinaire, mountain climber, comedian … 😀 Hope this team of yours stays together, Rory. Stay safe guys!
@dennispalmer6007 Right. I also forgot pyrologist … Mike definitely studies fire … what with his smudge pots and double stove chimneys turning cherry red. 😀
I could have done that recovery Mike except I have a stomach condition called no guts. Learning from Casey proves that no matter how much you know, listen because you just might learn something you didn’t know. Good job guys.
These guys think outside the box , and used Casey's application to a tee , agreement, on point ☝️ statement , heights ain't my cup of tea either, since I hit 55 ,3 years ago...✌️🙏💪☝️😸
You guys just keep outdoing yourselves on recoveries. Rory is a smart enough guy to take an idea from someone else's playbook and make sure to give them credit and thanks. Gotta love Cascade Heavy Rescue, he gets into some hairy rescues as well. Sure glad that guy didn't go down with the bike, that would have been a sad, bad outcome. Y'all had some beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery to enjoy while making yet another job look dog gone easy. Can't thank you all enough for what it takes for us to tag along, it is so appreciated. Stay safe and GOD bless
Mike is a real Moab Renaissance Man! Rory I know you have the grips for climbing but you are an earth bound misfit like me. You all have out done yourselves, bravo!
As rappels go it was actually pretty easy, but being alone into otherwise unreachable territory with only one way back out adds an extra sense of adventure. Loved to see the good form - double safeties everywhere possible. Rock climbers are used to being lowered, but I don't think that many can say they've been winched out. Very cool recovery, glad you could share this one!
Thank you for the shout out to Casey LaDelle. I watched that video a while back, and thought that this rescue looked familiar. I love the way you just fabricate stuff out in the middle of nowhere. Oh, and if you ever need holes put in steel with the welder, just call me! Just have me try to weld something to something else, and you'll have more holes than you know what to do with.
Mike hang in there. My father taught me how to tie about ten different knots behind my back. Which I could do years before I went into the Coast Guard. In basic training in knot tying class; Instructor said: The most important thing about tying a knot is you don't ever tie one that you don't trust your own life too. Because someone else will expect for there lives to depend on it.. I've highline people with injuries off of side of a cliff to a Coast Guard vessel. Repelled down the side of the superstructure of ships de rusting and painting; the bridge wings on ships can be 100 feet above the main deck. When underway rolling side to side 20 degrees. One minute derusting/painting second's later suspended over the ocean in fourteenth-century technology. Sitting on piece of wood supported by ropes referred to as a bosun's chair, as a deep sea Merchant Sailor. Enjoyed the video😊

I’ve said it before, this recovery team is at another level completely. 👍
Mike has some big marbles to do this.

I couldn't have said it better myself 👍
Awesome job and thanks for the shoutout!
But I don’t know if taking tips from a guy who tried it once and somehow made it work is the best idea 😂
Also, I’m jealous of your solid one piece rocks. Our Jenga pile volcanic cliffs freak me out lol
A questionable win is still a win. Lol.
If it worked out for Casey then the concept has merit for Rory and anyone else that has the means, the personnel and getter done attitude.
