I have a 500X with this engine. The most impressive thing for me, is the torque. For such a small engine, it's got some great pulling power, helps with the acceleration here too. Even bigger engines from other manufacturers, can't match the torque output of this engine. Lovely car to drive. Nice vid 👍
The same for me! I have driving other cars with 150hp, but the sensation of torque of this engine is beatiful. This engine have a lot of features than other competitors don't have: Multiair system (variable valve lift), liquid intercooler and precisely 270Nm at 1850 g/min.
I purchased a 2017 UK spec one 170 HP 4x4 12 months ago and can't fault it. In that time it 's had one service and an m.o.t with no advisories nothing broken nothing need fixing. Seems well put together,no squeaks or rattles and the snow we had recently did the job perfect. My fuel consumption av is not great (28.5 mpg at av speed of 22-23 mph 5180 miles covered) but that's because it's main use is short journeys and I live in a very hilly area. It can do pretty well as I filled up and did a motorway section straight away 70 miles av speed of 58 mph and computer read 50.4 but this over reads by 2 mpg everytime using the fuelly app. Mine in Venezia Blue comes with keyless entry/heated elec seats/heated steering wheel/ blind spot monitor . It also has the lane and distance controls plus stop start which I have switched off because if I want to cut a corner safely then I will. Overall very impressed.
12l/100km is obviously high because it's a media/test drive car, so people drive it like crazy to test it's capabilities. Also it's new, cars after 7000km perform better, with lower consumption. Great video tho!!

It's fast and sounds pretty well but I think is a step behind of the other 1.3 of its category, the Nissan/Renault/Mercedes engine. Fantastic video mate!!
You actually rate a Renault engine at all? I had a diesel megane (disaster) sounded as if there was no bottom end bearings in it when cold. Horrible engine.

Thanks a lot mate but I rented this car from a carsharing company. Even though I am not driving economically, it still takes too much fuel.
