Thanks for sharing and posting the video this morning. Had my arm chair vacation. Seeing county that I have not seen before. The wide open spaces of New Mexico. Have a great day. Be waiting for the next one.❤😊😊😊😊😊
Our country has the largest intermodal shipping in the world. Containers arriving on ships on the west are loaded aboard long trains for transshipment to our east coast ports where they are loaded on other ships bound for European and other ports. The Panama canal is too narrow to handle the modern girthy ship, and it would cost far too much for them to go around south America, so our intermodal trains get the job done quickly and efficiently. It's usually around 80 hours to go from west to east. Such a deal! I drove 18 wheelers from 1973 through 2017. God only knows how many miles were accumulated over the years. Kev: you're a pro through and through with your inspections, the way you drive, and your time management, and you young lady, are quite the narrative director, camera hustler and support for what you both do. Safe travels. Michael 😊
Went trucking my first time through Texas this year. On that trip the Def hose at the Las Cruces Flying J blew up in my face and sprayed me every where I had to run to the emergency shut off.
The mountains South of Deming are the Florida (pronounced Flor-Ida) mountains. A state park there, allows you to pick up quartz rocks to keep. The only park that does... Deming was named after the wife of one of the Big 4 financiers/builders of the Trans-Continental Railroad built from Cali to Promontory Point, Utah! Stanford, Crocker, Hopkins were 3 of them!!!
About 25 years ago we were doing our usual tdy to Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson Az. On one of our off days we decided to drive to Deming N.M. for some golf. Along the way we saw alot of long trains parked alongside the Interstate. Obviously changing out crews. Also noticed homes out in the middle of nowhere. We thought, where do they work? Maybe retired because working from home wasn't a big thing back then. Plus where did they go shopping? Another thing we noticed that the exit signs were bare metal. They had been sand blasted clean probably by the winds. No GPS on our phones back then. Fortunately we had our Rand McNally map with us and just started counting exits. The Deming sign was not sand blasted clean. 😂
How can I hear the road noise, engine growl and Taynas observations which are funny btw with the noise pollution? Love the videos otherwise! Thank you!! Hope your home is safe!!
Those turtle races are a bad idea, Kevin.. one driver or the other needs let up and give the other the right of way. Running side by side not only clogs up both lanes, but neither of you have anyplace to go if something comes up in front of you.. never do that Kevin... If it means slowing down a couple of mph and staying behind the other guy for a while.. So be it...
If I’ve got someone passing me, I’ll give them the “you’re clear of me come on over” headlight flash. I just mumble back “…you’re welcome” when they don’t give the “thanks” flash back with the “marker interrupt”
I always enjoy your videos especially since I never really drive out west. Unfortunately im back in a four yr old KW T680 for the next three weeks. Mechanics found a hairline crack in the turbo so now I have all analog gauges no electronic 5th wheel release or sliding 5th wheel 😢
Chili great food for the arteries Reduces inflamation Have you heard Dave MacMillan of Smart Trucking ,passed in August He was from around Orillia His GrandDaaughter is continuing Keep going strong You too (2) keep it authentic 🇨🇦🕵
Hi Kevin and Tonya do you know if your ho.e in Florida survived the hurricanes that went though anyway keep the videos coming your videos are alowing me to live a life as a trucker that I wanted to be as a kid

1:40 DPU I see you

I used to pull in to park. It kept the noise down, better sleeping.

Very nice scenery 👌
Lordsburg New Mexico know it well. Delivered soda many times. When I had my CDL I drove for a soda company out of Tucson and that was my area.

Years ago, as a Teamster, I speared for a company called Rand Transportation. That company became Werner Continental, then Werner Enterprises.

Hi guys.. so when you owertake onother truck do you jus to blink with your headlight ?
we do that here in Sweden so we know to get in again
Not as much like back in the day. Even 4 wheelers back then. Some cops 👮♂️ frowned on it, at least in Wisconsin. Good question

I've always said the Driver should govern the truck not the other way. 😅 Be careful of the KW W900's, most run wide open on US 85 😂
