What a wonderful event! I enjoy listening to Rita Dove’s lovely poem so much, and hearing details about George Bridgetower. I have played this piece many times over the years, and knew how profound a piece it was when I first played it in junior high school. I wish I knew the history then as I know now. It would have made it that much more meaningful to me. Rachell and Eric’s performance is exquisite! Thank you for this video 💜
