Your videos about such a complicated stuff is a real treasure! You are able to explain this piece of grammar in a nutshell! Thanks a lot! I wish you would record a lesson about the mixed conditionals to complete the course.
I am an hearing impaired, and to me the most important thing, that English teachers' speech be slow, light, eloquent, fluent, and catchy. As English teachers, they must consider people who attend the lesson, who are not native to English-speaking countries. I must indicate, that you're the best English teacher and lecturer, in Utube, specially your eloquent and easy speech. well done! Very lovely lesson! Eitan from Israel.
Thank you very much for this video it really helped me understand the third conditional the way I wanted it to be. This channel is one of my favorite channels to learn english and I'm glad I found it. Thank you very much for all the tips you provide us in this video.

Hi everyone! Andrew, thank you for another brilliant lesson! In this video (and not only in this)you mentioned word 'maybe' and 'perhaps'. So could anyone explain to me, what is the difference between maybe, perhaps and apparently?;) Thanks in advance!
Hi Teacher. Good lesson. If had studied, I would have become a doctor. If had always seen your videos , I would have become great Teacher like you. If I had asked to her first, I wouldn’t have made so many mistakes. If I had arrived at home early, I would have cooked something to eat.
Hello and thanks for your comment. I am happy that you liked this video. Small correction: If i had not watched this video, I would not *have* improved my English writing. Best wishes Andrew
Hi Andrew, Could you clarify, please, one question. If we use complex clause in the second part of third conditional should we use HAVE second time before the second verb? For example, If I had won the lottery I would have bought a house and HAVE paid salary to employees.
This video shows us only the third conditional as it focuses on a single conditional I see that it reinforces more so I can see a broader concept of what the third conditional is, a different way of explaining but with the same structure that the third should be conditional as well as its times and a difference of how we can realize, use and differences the third conditional with the second codicional.
Hi! Andrew.Your video was quiet engaging because you used computer slide coherently to have the attention of students glued onto your presenration. Thanks & regards Prashant Mishra(Lester Miles) from India.....

I hope that you provide us with the mixed conditional sentences I mean when we mix the third conditional with the second conditional And when we mix the second with the third Thanks
Hello thank you for all your videos that you make it in order to improve our English language and my question is What is the main difference between the third term conditional and the second term conditional on our daily routine, I hope you answer to my question and I will be grateful to you
Thanks for your comment. I am happy that you like my English lessons. I don't understand your question. Please give me 2 example sentences. Best wishes, Andrew
fayssal Boukabrine The difference is the time. The second conditional has the past form but it is referring to an unreal condition in the present or future. The meaning is to advise someone to hurry (in the future) so that they catch the train. The third conditional is in the PAST. It has already happened. It is finished. Therefore we are not advising someone because it is too late for that. We are telling them that the result would have been different IF they had hurried. (But unfortunately they did not in fact hurry and therefore they did not catch the train.)
+Crown Academy of English thank you so much sir for this Helpful explanation, until now I can differentiate between both of em, I reiterate my thanks, and I think you are the best professor of English, that my idea Cheers Fayssal from Algeria
In the comparison between the third and second conditionals in the sentence (i had won the lottery, i would have bought a boat. ) instead of "won", "wan" should be placed? because it is past perfect
What about past perfect when we use have as an auxiliary and as an ordinary verb? For example: If she had had a breakfast she would have felt better. Is this example correct? Thank you for the answer.
Hi Andrew First of all thanks a lot for your detailed and comprehensive grammar lessons. Best I have ever seen. One question regarding the third conditional: Recently on TV I've heard following sentence: If my bag "was found" I would have received a phone call It seems also to be a correct grammar form isn't it? Which tense is "was found" ? It is obviously not pas perfect ? Could you please help since I am a bit confused here. Thanks in advance and many greetings from Germany
Hello and thanks for the comment and question. "If my bag was found" - This sentence is in the passive voice. It is the past tense but in the passive voice (not the usual active voice) It is difficult to explain the passive in the comments, but it means the same as "someone found my bag" - We use the passive often when it is *not* necessary to identify the subject of the sentence. In this example, it is not really important WHO found the the bag. Best wishes, Andrew
Your channel is absolutely helpful to me. Im Maryam from Iran and Im gonna take the IELTS exam, but Im always afraid of taking any exam, especially IELTS exam, becase I dont heve enough self-confidence😓😓 could you please give me some advice?

Hello thank you for all your videos that you make it in order to improve our English language and my question is What is the main difference between the third term conditional and the second term conditional on our daily routine, I hope you answer to my question and I will be grateful to you

First example for second conditional :If you hurried you would catch the train
Third conditional :If you had hurried, you would have catch the train
I hope you give me an explanation for this
fayssal Boukabrine
The difference is the time.
(But unfortunately they did not in fact hurry and therefore they did not catch the train.)

it's very useful Andrew, thanks a lot
your explanation was very simply
Good luck
In the comparison between the third and second conditionals in the sentence (i had won the lottery, i would have bought a boat. ) instead of "won", "wan" should be placed?
because it is past perfect
"wan" is not correct.
"won" is the past participle of "win".
So the past perfect form is "I had *won* "
Best wishes
Andrew
Excellent n wonderful videos plz upload more videos thanks
What about past perfect when we use have as an auxiliary and as an ordinary verb? For example: If she had had a breakfast she would have felt better. Is this example correct? Thank you for the answer.
Yes, that is correct. We say "had" twice! The first "had" is an auxiliary and the second is the main verb.
a very useful class!! thank you teacher
Hi Andrew
First of all thanks a lot for your detailed and comprehensive grammar lessons. Best I have ever seen. One question regarding the third conditional:
Recently on TV I've heard following sentence:
If my bag "was found" I would have received a phone call
It seems also to be a correct grammar form isn't it? Which tense is "was found" ? It is obviously not pas perfect ? Could you please help since I am a bit confused here.
Thanks in advance and many greetings from Germany
Hello and thanks for the comment and question.
"If my bag was found" - This sentence is in the passive voice. It is the past tense but in the passive voice (not the usual active voice) It is difficult to explain the passive in the comments, but it means the same as "someone found my bag" - We use the passive often when it is *not* necessary to identify the subject of the sentence. In this example, it is not really important WHO found the the bag.
Best wishes,
Andrew
Many thanks for the explanation. I got it. Passive voice. Makes fully sense. Wish you all the best and pls keep up the good work
Thank a Lot ❤❤now I'm ready to do My English final examen
Sir matchless and outstanding
my question is, with the modals, do we us the hypothetical situations in the past also please?
Yes that is possible.
Example: If I had gone to London, I might have seen the Queen.
Can we use "may" and "must" in the 3rd conditional? Thanks in advance
very very good teacher! Thank You very helpful!!!!!

Hi, I'm Spanish teacher I love your videos, what is the program you use to make your videos? I want to help people who wants to learn Spanish
If I had watched your videos,I would have spoken better.
Andrew Sir..... Thanks For Teaching Me Advance Class
how and where to use 'have had' together like u said in your video 'would have had'
Hi Andrew,
I am struggling with the following example: If she lived 100 years ago OR If she had lived 100 years ago. Which one is right?
If l had finished my studies, l would have been a nurse.
If l had known the differences between second and third conditional, l would have taught it to others.
If my husband hadn't left me, l would have loved him.
If l hadn't had to leave my country, l would have kept my friends.
If l had woke up early, l would have arrived on time in my TAFE.
If l hadn't attended that class, l wouldn't have fallen in love with my teacher.
If l had dared to express my feelings, l would have had him.
Hello
Very very good. I see that you have really understood this lesson.
You made one small mistake:
"If l had woke up early, l would have arrived on time in my TAFE." > "If l had *woken* up early, l would have arrived on time in my TAFE."
(The past participle of wake is "woken".)
Best wishes
