I started eating 6 - 8 prunes daily for bone health for a few months and got an unexpected surprise! The heels of my feet have been very dry and cracked for decades. Lotion helped a little but never fixed the underlying problem. After eating prunes daily for a few months, my heels are very soft and supple with no cracks at all. This is how they were when I was much younger! It's absolutely amazing! The only thing I've changed in my diet or lifestyle is adding the prunes.
DR Peter , firstly I am enjoying eating prunes every day . Secondly do you have any opinions about cayenne pepper ? Should I be having 1/4 tsp each day or will that be damaging my stomach ??? Many thanks indeed 😊
There is no doubt about the benefits of cayenne pepper but not sure about the dose. Maybe take some gut protective things occasionally lie aloe Vera or slippery elm if your worried. ? I will see if I can fine something on it
@@drpeterdinglePhD that would be fabulous Peter if you could let us know in a video perhaps your findings on cayenne pepper. I have been taking 1/4 tsp in a glass of water with apple cider vinegar every morning first thing . The first time I took it the burning sensation in the mouth was rather harsh but I persevered and now it is so easy to swallow . Love your videos .
Start with a few a day then build up. I take 12 or so. No set number. They are delicious so easy to take. Some days I have them 3 or 4 at a time over the day. No set routine. But the research suggest the more the better. But 100 is ideal.
Hey, I had surgery week ago and was very constipated, so I decided to drink big glass of prune juice which was a big no no because I got diarrhea from prune juice. So, I did little research on prune juice which suggest start out slow, my mistake. Does help your bowels.
About 6 months ago I began to eat 50g prunes daily on your recommendation due to a concerning dexa scan report of osteopenia. My goal with diet and relevant exercise is to reverse that in 12 months. What are my chances do you think?
Very good. At least that is what the studies show and the people I know who have done it. Have you watched the one on physical activity. I hop everywhere now.
@@drpeterdinglePhD well I think I remember hearing that if a person includes jumping in their daily exercise (20 times) this helps s well. Needless to say, U’ve that into the mix also. It will be fascinating to do the results next year.

Hey Peter, so are you having 12-13 a day or less because that number was mentioned along side for people who need the healing more from it?

What about dates?
Great but very different benefits
What about raisins? I can guess that they are also healthy, but are the benefits similar or different? Are they also good for bones?
@nettierose4915 great food but nothing like prunes for bones or gut.
