This video is not what I hoped for - I quit smoking cold turkey, I tryed with patches and gum - but that just boosts the nicotine addiction, once I heard a Audio Book on quitting smoking, I understood more about why I was smoking and the reason I never quit. This is another video that seems sponsored by niccotine replacements, which will keep you addicted your hole life. It feels damn good to be free from smoking joints every single day for 5 years.

The said smoking tobacco is bad and not nicotine; which is silly. Nicotine gives you the addiction and the rest of the tobacco plant gives you cancer/heart problems. Addiction is terrible. Everyone should try to get of this stuff because of the high propensity of addiction

I would like to quit smoking and nicotine all together. I been doing it dealing with stress, anxiety and as a way to slow myself down a bit.
I heard cigars are worse than cigarettes.
Vaping is probably even worse than cigarettes.
I probably to ask my manager to give me more work hours and I will just choose to have 1 day off a week instead.
I take anti anxiety meds, but I dont use anti depressants anymore they make me a numb zombie and I cant work or study.

The irony of it is that heavy cigarette-smoking is often a sign of mental illness (or at least relatively poor mental health). People with bipolar disorder or serious depression often have a hard time staying away from the vices of alcoholism, cocaine addiction, heroin use or chain-smoking. No-one smokes cigarettes more than a psychiatric patient who’s just been released from the ward.

Here's the thing: some of us are highly anxious. Our whole brain is wired that way, for reason or another. In my family, every relative had a different approach to managing this stress. Granny gardened; mom smoked; auntie overate. Dad was always working, could not sit still, had too much to drink too. And so on. Out of all of them, mom (smoker) was the only thin one.
I think smoking is not healthy but it does have its good sides too. We should admit that smoking was one of the things that kept people lean back in the day.

NRT is such a trap. Just quit cold turkey.
Research shows that these people that quit easier with NRT might actually be quitting easier because they're getting professional help as part of these studies, not because of the NRT itself. So it can help, but we have no research on people trying to quit on their own with NRT. I've found i just got addicted to NRT, and i felt like i struggled for longer than when i completely rid my body of nicotine and left my nicotine receptors alone.

*Smoking cessation medications (especially prescribed ones) can cause serious problems.* I recently quit smoking "cold turkey" and just went through the withdrawal like an adult (crying in the bathtub only a few times). I had to do it this way because *nicotine patches sent me to the ER with sky-high elevated blood pressure and the worst panic attack of my life. I thought I was suffocating while breathing, for crying out loud. And the ER thought I was going to have a heart attack.* It is critically important to stress that everybody's body is different when you talk about things like this. It is highly irresponsible and misleading to claim smoking cessation aids are completely safe, as a quick search on any engine will tell you what I have already, just with actual data to back it up. I'd like to stop others from potentially harming themselves with those things. They do still release nicotine into your body and *have been proven to increase your reliance on it.* Please be more careful with your information and check everything.
The lozenges and gum (OTC, unlike the patches) gave me headaches, which can lead to other *very serious problems.* No, they were not used at the same time. They were tried at different times over these past 2 years, that includes the patches. It is tough, but just stopping is the best way to approach it. Symptoms usually peak within the first 72 hours, and when you've been using cessation products to try and wean but still feel miserable after 3 days, well those are 3 days you could have spent completely stopping and you would be *so much further along* with your commitment to quit, and the worst will be over, or just about. Need a way to make sure you don't give in? Look up every possible health issue. You'd be surprised what smoking has the potential to cause. Too lazy to do that but like the idea of being scared with facts anyway? Try using openai chat. The AI is incredibly accurate and influenced by real data. It'll do the trick easily. It can also, believe it or not, provide support to you by telling you things like "You can do it!" and it remembers your conversation and progress better than your best friend could.
It can also reassure you and encourage you if you do slip up during your detox. It does it with facts based on data, but the devs did put a surprising bit of human-looking compassion into its code. It won't judge you, either. It's there to help. ANYWAY! What about THC or CBD smoke?
This applies to THC and CBD as well; while not as deadly as nicotine, if you are smoking it then you are still building tar up in your lungs. Assuming it is legal where you are either medically or recreationally, I have 2 ways to ingest it for you that will save your lungs (and heart, and stomach).
It's better to ingest THC/CBD, which can be done by steeping it in tea for 10 minutes, or if you have a slow-cooker/crock pot, you can simmer peanut butter and chocolate (needs to be fatty and something like butter for the THC to bind to it) with your THC/CBD, pour everything out onto pastry sheets and arrange them like chocolate bars or nuggets and let sit in the fridge overnight. Bam. I just told you 2 easy ways to drink or eat your THC/CBD to help you avoid smoking it.
But, to be honest? If you ARE going to quit cigarettes cold turkey as I have, it would help to have CBD or THC to smoke every 2 or 4 hours for the first 2 days. You should find yourself able to only "need" one or two hits of your THC/CBD product to feel satisfied enough. It won't help much with restless leg syndrome, which can be felt in the back as well, specifically the upper spine. If that's what your withdrawal feels like, then you may need to heed the things I've said as that signifies your body has some similar responses to this thing as mine does.
(NOTE!!! It is POISONOUS to boil tobacco and ingest it. That is how you make homemade pesticides for your garden plants. Please do not ever drink tobacco water!!)
Be aware that quitting cold you will experience mood swings, heartburn, dizziness, a restless night or two, sweating, etc. Don't be afraid of these sensations or emotions. You are fine. You are safe. It will pass. Here are some food suggestions that might help with some withdrawal issues:
Fruits and vegetables: Incorporating fresh fruits and vegetables into your diet can provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that support your overall well-being during withdrawal.
Whole grains: Opt for whole grains like oats, brown rice, quinoa, and whole wheat bread. These foods provide sustained energy and can help stabilize blood sugar levels, which may help with mood swings.
Protein-rich foods: Include protein sources such as lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, beans, and nuts in your meals. Protein can help stabilize blood sugar levels and provide a feeling of satiety. Yogurt is also acceptable.
Water: Staying hydrated is crucial during withdrawal. Drinking plenty of water helps flush toxins from your system and can help alleviate some withdrawal symptoms.
It's important to note that while these foods may support your overall well-being during withdrawal, they won't directly alleviate nicotine withdrawal symptoms. However, maintaining a balanced diet can contribute to your overall health and may indirectly help you cope with the challenges of withdrawal. You can also spend the first 2 days just walking. It helps, it really does.
