Does losing your hearing as an adult affect your speech?

I’ve lost my hearing as an adult and as soon as you said the question I was like “volume control!” I’m the worst for being too loud (or so I’m told!) 😂

I was born with less hearing but due to an injury (my ENT ripped out my ear tube and a piece of my eardrum went with it) lost almost all hearing in my left ear at two. I’ve found people say some of these things to me too.
