Hi Dave From Western Australia, slot car racer and builder for over 40 years, have built a top fueler drag car with a group 20 motor wire chassis 1/24 scale that runs great. Racing 1/32 scale cars now, I build my cars low to the track with 30,000 RPM motors, NSR, SLOT IT, SIDEWAYS, Some (Scalextric Five cars), and a collector.
Great show Dave. My favorite format for a slot car video, and the most enjoyable aspect of the hobby. Which is, tuning the car to see what can be improved
Very well-done Dave. Another enjoyable, informative and enlightening video. Thank you for sharing more of your expertise. 😁 PS: I really enjoyed and agreed with your Scalextric comments/insight on Track Fans this morning.
Loosen your body screws for body float with a bit of tap over the screw holes so you don't lose the body screws Dave, I set up my cars so the front wheels are just touching the track, with spacers under the guide blade if you don't have front axel adjustment, your 1/32 scale cars will handle much better faster in the corners. tried and proven. ??
Great one and yes the C1 compound does make a big difference. I am not sure about the wheel weight difference on the front pair and whether an additional gram or two adds to the stability. As for those most excellent wheels then they are not 'Staffs'. They're proper 'Essex'.
Round off the tyre edges on your tyres. Dave MJK has better tyres for the rear. Front tyre come into contact with the track on corners.?? when your rear tyres are dirty use a sticky roller/lint roller, to clean them, last longer if you don't sand your tyres. ??

Hi Dave, oh yes, that´s what we like - little effort, big improvment. 👍
Thanks for Sharing Dave ...those wheels and tyres certainly made a huge difference. Practical education mate 👍 🤗
That's the way to go Dave!!!!!!! Great tutorial!!!!
Amazing the difference changing just the wheels let alone tyres as well
Great tips again Dave! 😉 🏁🏎️🏎️
Excellent Dave 👍
The quality of the aluminum makes a big difference. Staffs wheels improve the drive of most any car you put them on.
