Good show as always , that's the first blowout I have seen also. Glad you like the car, I have the Mosler great car I also don't like there guides I use the slotinvasion guides on Carrera you just about have to tip the car over to come out.
NSR are really nice. I don't have one of the Fiat's yet, but lucky enough to have a small collection of Porsche 917K and Ford GT40 from NSR. Everyone runs great. The only thing I have done to most of my NSR's is to replace the guide with SlotInvasion guides. Thanks for another video!
Thanks for showing us this car Dave .I was only recently looking at the fiat 500s in online stores and thinking of buying. I rekon they would be fun racers like the minis . For me little cars like this are far more interesting than group c cars and dtm style stuff . Valuable advice on set up too .great stuff ...thank you 👍
@slotr best and most interesting..I've only got about 10 Carrera cars and already I think I'm almost done with their supercars. i think in total I will stop at 20 in regards to Carrera collection ...I might get a few nascars by them and maybe two ugly trucks 🤭😅
That's nice, Dave. Wondering how you sanded your tyres and whether you overheated the rubber to make the compound disintegrate? I've seen the molding imperfections but not this level of attrition before. Low voltage and possibly using coolant seems to be the way to go?
@@slotr If they are the same compound then it looks like you've been unlucky first time around. People say the NSR Mosler is their fastest but I've not yet tried this.
I've just tried some of this www.pendleslotracing.co.uk/sloting-plus-tinned-copper-standard-braid-0-35.html that's good thick stuff that holds it's shape, that might be worth a go
That looks like a fun little car. With the modifications you made it has surpassed fun to become a great little car 👍
Thanks Dave...now I have to spend more money. Definitely get two! They look like fun little cars.
Great to see you got the NSR working great around your track!
I've got some shims on order for that sloting guide... I'm blaming you for me going down this rabbithole :D
@@slotr I can send you some slotinvasion guides..
@@twolinesslotcars you're the slot car equivalent of a feeder 😂

That’s on my list! Thank you for your thoughts!
Great review Dave! I’ve been thinking about one of these NSR Fiat’s for a while now. You have just pushed me over the edge.

Thanks for the referral to Ken Schmud page! Absolutely great stuff. I'll be stealing some ideas for sure!
He's incredible isn't he?
Add a small amount of lead to the chassis, as you have removed the magnet. This should help to keep the car settled on the track.

@@SCALE_SLOTCARS_AND_RC I've got a couple of their old USAC / NASCARs they're pretty good as it goes
Great video as always Dave
Shame about the tyre bow out
Can't win them all, if you make 1000 of something not all of them will be perfect :)
Enjoyed the presentation. I could not find the German guy Ken Schnud. What is his channel called?

well I did the second set the same and no problem so it's a mystery to me

@@MrDarrenp40 me neither, I've got a Ninco Mosler in a box I've had for years, really should try and chip that and see what it'll do as well
Nice video
Great video
Why do you use Scalauto braid?
I'm trying to find a nice braid I can use that works well on my copper tape MDF track.
Thanks.
I just thought I'd try some, I've heard a few people say good things about it, and it does seem to be good
@@Rob-Slot PSR stock slotting plus braid that is thicker, I've got some of that to try as well
