Just a note here that after finding the intake manifold bolt holes were improperly drilled in the heads, then finding a crack in one of the head castings over one of the valve guides, I decided I no longer wanted World Products' Warhawk heads nor block in my car. So the engine is being sent back to LME, who graciously offered to take it back and build me a new engine built with a different manufacturer's block and heads.

I'd like to know how long it took these guys to separate the drivetrain from the body because I want to do the same except I want to soundproof/heatshield my C6 in every possible nook and cranny possible. They sure looked fast and neat!! About how much did it cost just for the removal and replacement round figure? Thanks!!!

Sorry, but I have no idea. This was all being done as a package to do some major upgrades to the car. And I was not there during all the work involved. Although they looked professional, I got royally screwed over by owner, IMHO. Among a lot of other things, the guy simply painted my old differential and transmission and put them back into the car, claiming they were RPM upgraded rebuilds. I finally had to have the car towed to another shop because he (Chris Harwood) could not finish the job. Not to mention I had had enough of being lied to by the guy. IMHO. But not that I fared much better with the second shop, South Georgia Corvettes. Seemingly two peas in a pod, IMHO. When I got the car back from that shop, it was basically a handyman special. Took me another year+ to get it straightened out in my own garage. All in all it cost me a LOT of money.
So please be extremely careful about who you choose to work on your car.

@@corvetteflorida Sorry to hear that. ALOT of shops are a bunch of low life sheisters these days and don't like it when they get called out or put under the spot light for shit work. I recently bought a modified C5 (owner passed) and found the shop that did the shit work on it so I could figure out their fuck ups, they became agressive and arrogant when I questioned their work and the costs though they did not know I am a certified tech. I would never ever recommend VetteXperts in Pompano Beach, FL to ANYONE!

@@moe4772 Quite honestly, I can't think of a single solitary shop I would recommend to work on a Corvette. Quite frankly, my opinion is that if you can't do your own work, forget about getting a shop to do the mods or repairs for you.

That's the hard way of changing the clutch on a vette! These guys must be paid hourly! I did mine on jack stands in the drive way, no lifts! Didn't even tottaly have to remove it, just slid it back w/ torque tube still attached to trans..

Uh, did you bother to read what exactly was taking place there? New engine, new transmission, new differential, etc., etc.

It is a 2002, but I don't think you'll find much difference between any of the C5 generations.
