I love this! Weekend project. Couple of questions: 1) I assume the cage nuts could be used for the engine cover? 2) Where did you find the socket tool?
You can pretty much use the cage nuts anywhere you have the plastic nuts but they don't always hold super tight if they are used in a place that is a thicker material. Hopefully that makes sense. Are you talking about the orange tool I used for getting in at the angle? If so, I'm pretty sure I got it on amazon.
Once again - Awesome job Mr Tejas Oatmeal! You really are a gosh darn Eli Whitney with the Cage Nuts! And furthermore, considering how low our Vanderhalls are to the ground and how much of a beating the radiators & intercooler take every time they hit the road…….to me, this is one of the first mods owners should do to prolong the look and function of those critical components. It’s a no- brainer, really. Case closed.
Very nice! That’s a really clever way to guard the fins of the radiator and intercooler, and it looks really clean and kinda industrial. As always, awesome video!
Thanks for that idea . It works and it looks a lot better . One question you are using Royal Purple oil ,any different using that type of oil instead of OEM from chevy. Better performance and cooler engine with Royal Purple YES or NO or Same.
Just had an issue with the radiator it's a crack in the upper driver side corner does anyone else have this problem and is it under warranty my things like this
I think this metal guard is the only item that wasn't affected by the inflation
Just wanted to say thanks for the vid. I Added these to my Carmel yesterday. Looks great and protects very well.😀

Yes they would. One of our guys swapped to them.

Since it started rattling as soon as you pushed it back with your finger I am curious if you ended up with any rattling due to wind when driving..?
None at all. It's perfect
