Good luck with your reading goal! I finished Holy sister in January as well! Still have to gather my thoughts about it! How did I not realize there is another series my M. Lawrence set in the same world. Immediately adding to my tbr... Or maybe not. Seems like I would be annoyed by it lol (you can tell I'm commenting as I am watching haha) I had my eyes on the Squire for some time because the cover is just sooo pretty.
I think The Girl and the Stars is still worth reading, even if parts of it annoy you (really both of us). It was still a really solid book, and it's got lots of room to grow and drop some good good Abeth lore. If you decide to read it, let me know!
Despite having totally different taste, this was a fun watch! I like when authors use the most minimal possible amount of world building like Philip K Dick short stories, and glaze over hearing about magic aystems 😅 But your videos have such a fun vibe
Thank you so much! 💖 It's hard to succinctly capture magic systems sometimes in a way that doesn't sound mental, so I waaaasn't even going to try. I'll remember that, though, and recommend what comes across that falls in that kinda vibe!
I'm the friend holding you up 😅 I'm almost done with Jade Legacy and should start The Girl and the Stars this week! Book of the Ancestor was so good and the world building was a delightful surprise. Glad we read that together ❤️ Ahhh you're restarting Elderling (waits patiently with final trilogy..) Was I the person who zoomed through it all? Sorry I waited eventually 😅 I am 33 pages into Fifth Season and also know nothing about it. Let's gooo

There is a jump cut there where I was like "I shouldn't blast Bri in my UA-cam video - she's trying!" but definitely did cut out a "it's fine, Bri!"
@@PaintedSpaceship It's fine 😆 I also skipped that whole section so.. remind me to revisit later after I'm caught up
