Carp On The Fly On The SUP: Episode 1

www.flycarpin.com - This is the first in a series showing catching carp while fly fishing from standup paddeboards (SUP). In this episode I catch a nice 14 pound carp slow cruising through flooded brush in a Colorado reservoir. I caught this carp on a leech fly from my home-made standamaran style standup paddleboard specifically designed and build for chasing carp.

At that point I was trying to pull them out of flooded trees - which is dang near impossible because they tow you into trouble. In more open water there doesn't seem to be a ptoblem landing them. Flooded brush like in this video you win some you lose some, but 1x helps. Allot.

Fly-Carpin know what your saying. Lost 3 in a row this past summer to some near by weeds. Put some 15 lbs test and didnt give em an inch of line, all hell broke loose but landed a few
