  • How to inspect your Ski Doo belt and clutch
Dino’s Tinker Shed, S1-Ep 38. How to inspect your Ski Doo belt and Clutch.
In this episode, I will talk about how I inspect my drive belt and condition the drive sheaves on my 2018 Ski Doo Renegade Enduro, with the 900 ACE engine in the XS chassis.
This episode will not cover a complete tear down of the clutches but focus on cleaning the oxidation off the sheaves, how to remove and reinstall the drive belt and set the proper belt deflection on this model of snowmobile and engine. If your clutch is giving you shifting issues or not operating correctly you may require a deeper service or a rebuild to replace wear components or failed parts.
As always, I have included time code chapters so you can skip to any part you want to review.

Hello Dino: I changed my oil in 2012 Grand Touring 600 ACE today and thought, why not find a video and learn how to adjust your belt properly. So I found your video and just wanted to say thank for making it. I think you must have been a teacher somewhere in life, cause your video was very informative and the best one on You tube to learn from, thanks again. keep it up, looking forward to learning more from you about my Skidoo.

A useful video as usual Dino. (I do not have/need one where I live in AUS. I have visited people in Sudbury once (early March) and was amazed how organised the information is for snowmobile riders. Your previous video was good informationon on the role of the associations for riders and being respectful when riding across private land. The people in Sudbury were riding to Timmins and had information on trail condition, access, weather and fuel. Very well organised by the association I thought)

Thanks again for the feedback. Sudbury is a really my son in laws and my favorite place to ride. We have not been there is 2 years so hoping this season allows us to get back there. Great trails, good food and fantastic people.

Nice video, good presentation. Did you mean continuously variable transmission when you said constant velocity at 9:08?

Hmmm perhaps I did. I sometimes get tongue twisted with all the acronyms and my have confused it with a constant velocity joint. Sorry if I miss spoke. Thanks for the catch. After a few hours at the edit screen you can sometimes miss these thing.
