Just file under an llc and get NEXT business insurance it's like $20 a month for a million in damages. And done business insurance covers everything you do in your business, property damage, personal injury, etc.
We did obtain a LLC, insurance is a bit more complicated, I talk more about it in other videos.
@@DriveNorth do you mind copying the link and post it here as a comment for your video on insurance? I scrolled through a huge amount of your videos trying to find the video thanks 🙂
I find your videos informative and do appreciate them. I wish that the content of the video was more aligned with the title. In this particular 20 minute video there hasn't really been any content related to "how to rent your RV" until 1/2 way through. Thankfully, you have chapters.
Yes, I can see how the title was a bit misleading. I was kinda going for the mental state it takes to get into the rental biz. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the videos! I am starting my rv rental business, and these videos have really helped answer most of my questions!!
Glad it was helpful!
Another good one, thanks
Thanks!
This is amazeballs! Thanks for all the awesome information! Seeing the numbers really helped me a ton! Would love to see the expenses detailed out between the two campers like the income is.
Thanks! Perhaps I'll dig into that a bit deeper in an upcoming video.
Nice stripes on the truck!
Thanks.....the installers did a great job
Good info all around
Glad it was helpful!
if you rent through RVezy they cover insurance for you during the period of time that the renters are utilizing your RV/ camper
Yes they do. The renter pays for the insurance during the booking process. There are different levels they can buy with smaller/larger deductibles etc. You can also set up your rental to require a higher level of insurance to be purchased.
Your videos are great, thank you! I subscribed right away and am marathoning through your content!
We are going to be a full-time RV family and wondered if we might buy a 2nd RV (cash) to rent out throughout the year as a supplemental income. We’d park it in a friend’s shop and pay him rent and also to meet the renters and manage the hands-on part of the equation. We’d manage everything else we can with phone calls/texts and online. Does that sound like a plausible scenario or a not-even-worth-it scenario to you? Thanks for your thoughts!
Sound like a solid idea. Keep in mind that people are often late for pick ups and drop offs. That could be a hassle with an off site location. Best of luck!
Could you provide any info on the insurance you use? Best coverage vs rough monthly costs..... thanks for the videos, they are very helpful
Insurance for the renter is provided through the rental platform. We've used Liberty Mutual in the past, but it's hard to compare our numbers since we have a special bundle deal with our house, multiple cars, etc. Roamly Insurance is probably the best for ultimate coverage as they are 100% on board with you renting out your rig and pro rate coverage based on how much it's rented out. They are now a channel sponsor and you can get a free quote by going here. Thanks! roamly.go2cloud.org/aff_c?offer_id=1&aff_id=1028*_
Thanks for another great video. We are just starting to rent our travel trailer here in Virginia. Would you recommend running everything through an LLC for tax write off purposes?
Thanks! We do have an LLC, but it's my understanding to be fully protected under an LLC, your title, loan, and banking account all have to be under that LLC name. What kind of rig you renting and hows it going out east?
@@DriveNorth That is helpful, thanks. We have a 2017 Keystone Passport 2670BH and so far only a few short rentals to close friends and family. Hoping that come next spring we’ll be busy with more bookings!
Hi there. Great Video. Do you have a link or would you be able to PM me for the spreadsheet you use? I am not that proficient in making spreadsheets but can use them lol. Thanks
Are the one who send an email through the wesbite?
How did you start the business?
Saw an online ad for Outdoorsy and started researching it. Wanted a way to get our RV paid off quick.
Do you let the renters use your weight distribution hitch?
Yes. They use ours. We get their truck's receiver height in advance so we can adjust it properly before pick up.
@@DriveNorth What hitch do you use and is it difficult to adjust?
Think my 95 Jayco too old to rent
Yeah, probably
🙂
😀
boring video, i fell asleep
Troll
Thank you for your input. I'll take that into consideration....
Video so boring put you to sleep but you managed to comment 😏
