This will be fun to follow. I used dollar tree towers for 2 yrs. I burned a hole through middle & ran a rod through a stack of 7 to give stability. Also, I put small rocks in middle of stacks. I use azomite & worm castings in my sifted soil. Works well. I grow petunias, marigolds, herbs, & spinach in my towers. 🪴
Thank you so much for doing a video for people on a very low budget and a very small space to grow. my patio in my apartment has a great big peppertree and I don't know if I get enough sunlight for gardening 😢 I so much want to learn to be a successful Gardner❤
Love this! I would really love to do this with my granddaughters! A fun, economical way to teach them about growing, plus they may even find some new veggies they want to eat! Looking forward to future videos in this series! Have a great weekend! ~~Lisa
Ive been to 2 dollar tees by me looking for the coco coir brick but didnt see them. 😭 I hope they are still selling them this year.. ill try another location before i lose hope lol.
Hi, love ❤️ your contents, I just recently discovered your channel and not I'm a fan. With that soil from Dollar Tree, do you think it might help if you sift the soil (make it fluffy)?
I’m starting a balcony garden and this stuff is so overwhelming. Should i use potting mix or soil for my potted plants? I found some organic potting soil at Walmart but a lot of y’all are saying potting mix
@Ashley Honeywood Omg I got myself the same thing also. The whole process I did was similar, but I use other methods when it comes to covering the little pots of seeds in the soil. Could you please do an after video of result? I would love to see the outcome of yours. Thanks 😊
For some reason very few of the DT stores here in Southern CA have the seed packets this year. Thankfully a local You-Tuber let me know where I can get them. Instead they have larger packets of mixed flower seeds.
I don't think the DT soil's a good buy, given the price/quantity. I buy a HUGE bag of Patio Plus for around $7 that's way more soil than spending '$7 on the DT soil. Plus, the quality's much better.
I love the dirt feeling... thaks for sharing..

That’s a great tip! I’ll definitely have to use!

This extreme budgeter thanks you for this series!
I am trying Dollar tree soil & Coco coir too. The soil,is heavy; however I think if you sift it and add Coco coir it should work. Thanks for sharing.

Sadly this was last year, and I didn’t get good results.

Wow, I’m surprised that’s the case, most of my local DTs are fully stocked with seeds

Hey! Where do you get Patio Plus?
I was going to ask the same, I don’t think I’ve seen that brand here in the Midwest.
Costco has good size bags
