Companies like tree audio don't take off because they're not consumer products. Products like this are geared towards about 5% of the industry that make a decent living making records but also know about these boutique companies. The average working professional is looking at legacy companies like Neve, API, etc. The boutique makers are too expensive and obscure, thats why they can't gain market share. A few do make it out if that boutique phase though. Companies like Burl, Manely etc
