Tbh as fun as some of these new profiles and LLs are for Angmar none of them seem like they’re gonna be worth taking over the Witch King-Gully-Barrow Wight vanilla army list. Gully just brings so much to the table and none of the new profiles really feel on his level

He's too expensive for a hero with nothing going for him. He's meant to kill things but doesn't get any bonuses over just being str4 and offers literally nothing else to the army unlike heroes with similar points values -Liam
they dont get the +1 attack they normally get in the rangers of the north list, a conditional banner is meagre compared to that. Arnor would rather spam troops than spend 25-31 points on a 1 attack guy. They dont need extra might now that they have 3 heroes with 3 might and foresight points. And if you want to do some heroehammer nonsense with the 4+ save why not take D7 2W 2A F5 captains
For the last year I've exclusively play the GC LL RotN are amazing, that's D5 screws over Str4 armies and hero's which are pretty much the meta of the game right now. Going back to the new stuff, have might concentrated on 3 hero's in a horde army isn't as good as having that spread out, for the cost of the new mounted cap that's 4 rangers, you lose strike but so what, your resources are spread out, you got objective grabbing potential hight, C4 units that are basically C5 with a point of will and then you've got a horde behind them to make up for not have 2 attacks, they only needed the 2 attacks because they're outnumbered 2 or 3 to 1. Not in arnor they aren't.
i mean Gothy is 145 to be fair, hes also mounted and d7 with plenty of other heroes around him to back him up. This dude is just one guy who's going to get shut down for sure. -Liam
F6 if he gets a kill, but as soon as he's up against any magic whatsoever he's barely going to be playing the game. Plus if you're smart about it even without magic you can kill him with a cav model easily enough. He's just Lurtz with 2 more fate and will for 30 points more. The courage re roll is nice, but if we're still comparing him to Dunland they get fearless and body guard models, which is 10x better. He's basically Shaggers without his knockdown and a much more important lynchpin of the force.
The Dunedain do hilariously get the 4+ Malbeth save since they’re heroes lol

The commentary on the Rangers and arnor isn't great guys, they've been vastly improved and have RotN in that army is huge
