These videos make me question why I even lock anything.
It slows them down. Never ever lock anything to keep people out permanently, lock it to slow them down so they move on to something easier ;)
Picking is still slow when you need to do it outside in not so perfect wether ... do it day time and some one next door may see you , do it in night and you may not see what you are doing .
That lock on this clip is weak agains snapping and by that not worth much .
We got our summer cottage burgled few years back and they entered from window when they could not open an 1950s lever lock on front door ... some one wants to get in a lock on a door wont stop them.
Locks are there so you can get in without breaking your window/door when you have lost the key.
Like Chipmunk2008 said: it's just to slow them down.
I've seen many people trying to pick a lock, then after a few moments move on.
It's not about having an unpickable lock, it's about having one that's more secure than your neighbours :3
For the most part, it's to keep honest people honest.
Rav Bariach is the original company name for Multilock. They have split branding in the last couple of years. We get the simpler stuff (now made in china) back home and the fancy interactive stuff( made in Israel) go to foreign shores, lke US and EU.
O brasil é pioneiro nesse tipo de comercio, aqui ficamos com a parte simples e o que realmente presta enviamos para estrangeiros.
BTW Bill, in case you're interested. these locks go into doors made out of sheet steel, when you turn the lock it turns a system of metal rods that lock the door at 2-3 contact points on top of the primary latch right under the lock. these are standard entrance doors in Israel, every apartment and house has them.
I'm dumbfounded by people in the US having wooden doors with unbarred windows right next to them or even worse, glass panels in the door itself! I don't need a gun to protect myself when my walls are concrete and my door's steel.
@KingOfBanditJing Every time I see American homes flattened by a hurricane I shake my head in disbelief. Seema like homes in America are all wood and plasterboard, it's like living in a home out of matchsticks. With a few tools you can just cut through any wall.
In Israel homes are built of breeze blocks and reinforced concrete.
Hey Bill, Thanks for explaining as you do each step (whether it works or not). It really helps me get a better understanding of
what you're doing.
I'm not going to be picking locks in my future, and I have no desire to, but I just can't seem to stop watching these videos.
Dam you Bosnianbill and your lock picking vids.....I could care less about personaly picking locks but can't stop watching your and waiting for new ones lol.....nice job
The actuator is the standard actuator used in israel in פלדלת (Pladelet) doors. RavBariach is an Israeli lock company famous for their Mul-T-Lock brand until it got sold to Assa Abloy around 1999.
The RB-500 is a common lock used in many homes here because of its low price and that it did came standard with a lot of RavBariach Pladelet doors. Currently, most of these doors are sold with locXis and 3LoX locks that have interactive elements and are way harder to pick.
"Leave now if you don't care for gutting"
*Starts scrolling down
"Unless you want to see me shove a screwdriver through my hand"
*FURIOUSLY SCROLLING UP*
'Rav Bariach' literally means multiple locks or Multi Lock :)
Man, That's one big ass key, Another great pick Mr.Bill
I just ordered my very first lock pick set from sparrow because of your videos, Thank you for leading me to an interest :)
0:50 The lock lab is infested!
Just got my first set of picks and practice locks 🔒 I've got passed the practice locks and looking forward to my first real lock
We all love seeing you ram a screwdriver in your hand bill. lol. Nice video as always.
You make awesome videos about picking and gutting locks. But can you make a video reassembling a lock that you picked? I'm watching video 588 now and it would be nice to see you reassemble more locks.
Between Multilock, Mul-T-Lock and Rav Bariach, I honestly don't know which is which.
But I think the odd actuator is related to the Pladelet doors common to Israel.
Pladelet is a brand of Rav Bariah :). Mul-T-Lock was a brand of Rav Bariah until they sold it to Abloy.
"If you don't care about gutting, now is the time to drop out" But gutting is one of the main reasons to watch!
looks like a great candidate to make a killer dimple challenge lock!
welp... I totally started to hold my breath while cringing at the thought of you gouging that awesome pinning tray.....
Excellent video Bill, You are a master of locks......... hope someday to be one tenth as good as you ;)
Looks like a good lock. It provides a level of difficulty that your typical crook will not be able to use any covert method.
This specific lock is rather standard in most Israeli homes for their front door (a metal door usually made by Rav Bariach too or another company).
Another fantasic video buddy. Youve a key for every lock without ever having a key lol 5stars
good info bill, thank you.
Would love to win won of the competitions on his website!! Love watching this channel!
It's "Rav Bar-EE-ach" ("ach" like "Loch"). :)
James Sempy multi lock
Could also be translated as multi-latch, or arch-lock
I only came here to say this lmao I swear no lock picking youtubers can pronounce this 🤣
the Ach part is pronounced like... well like when you have a ball of phlegm and you're preparing to spit it. Also Bariach (בריח) means Latch, the word can be found in the bible.
I was enjoying the bumper music at the end. Who was it? Oh, and as usual, it was a good video. But I never expect anything less with your productions.
Look how wide the locks are that they work on. Normal locks you truggle to get anything in the lock to even try to pick it
who does all of your intro stuff? incredibly high quality and different ones all of the time! it's very impressive.
Luke Weller I agree, someone really knows their stuff. and I like that they are always changing and always so very well done
IIRC they're all made by fans of the show.
It's the same person who does his website design... mindzipper.com/
i think he said he has a bunch of concubines that are good at intros he keeps locked in the basement or something like that
Looks identical to Multilock.Used in Australia on High Security applications domestic and commercial. Both being designed in Israel.
Mul-T-Lock was the locks section of Rav Bariah until it got sold to Abloy. Their main line of business is Doors.
every single government facility or service, e.g. Public pools. Has an abloy lock on it
Boris Kozo Thought it looked familiar. Thanks Boris Kozo

You've got a tiny little bug crawling around where you are there :( you can see it a couple times in the first minute cause you have such a good camera.
Nice picking as usual
So, i've finally opened that simple 3-pin lock i was frustrating on.
A lock like this is not a option for the next what? months/years?
And that's without you opgrading it.
Bosnianbill can you please do a video on how to use the sparrow quick jim and mini jim? I got them and I cant really figure out how to use all the different cut outs on them and have very limited success. thanks.
ha ha. using team integy RC tools. awesome
Something very strange , three mushrooms have that lock .
In your it just one.
And more....
But it very light lock for picking
Sir you made me scare!
this lock is kinda popular around here. And I even don't like to imagine what kind of people can enter my house.
Hello From Poland Bill :)
Brodaty Brodacz I was just there yesterday!
Hey a great video can you give me please alink to the tools that you work with
How do you fit this lock? Doesn't that weird cam stop the lock from being inserted?
0:40 - You smuggled some weird little creature in to your country from China.
How dare you talk about an iphone assembly technician like that
Ha! I never saw that bug. Yeah, weather here was really nice so I opened up all the windows and left the door open most of the day. I'm sure all kinds of creatures wandered in. I even had a wren fly in and sit in the rafters for about 30 minutes.
N
No magic on the core? There is serration on 1 or am I going blind?
Awesome lock
Im a bit lazy and all, but did you have a video explaining why you want to have the pins threated, serrated or a T-pin? Like, what does it add to the difficulty of picking the lock?
yes
Nude Jawn And do you have a link or video name for me?
lol, im too lazy to find links, but if you go to the locklab website, I am sure it is covered in the "lock lab university" section
Nude Jawn Thanks, Ill check it out
do you put those locks together after you take them apart? if so, mind sharing that with us?
edit: nevermind the first question... only the second
I don't understand how you release so much tension when dealing with spools and the like and not have previously set pins spring back into place. When I practice it seems like the slightest release of tension and bing! they're all back :) Frustrating but just practise I guess?
Comes with free bugs with every order 0:44
Please put a link in for Peterson Lock Picks. They are quality lock picks. Thanks.

With most European style locks you line up the locking lug with the body of the lock to slide the lock into the door. How do you install something with a gear shaped locking lug?
Jim Fortune Probably a geared rack
I can think of several ways to use it. I'm just wondering how you get the assembly in and out of the door. You can't just move the lug out of the way while you slide the thing in through a keyhole shaped slot.
Jim Fortune faceplates with fasteners on the inside. I would imagine
The door has a similar lug in it and you just align the two to interact. This is a standard system for all entry doors in Israel which is called (how surprising) the Rav-Bariah door mechanism.
are the doors build like a safe door? I ask because I'm in Beijing and my door has 15 posts that slide out reminding me of my old gun safes
. Well designed, well built, but not Bill proof. Almost had a heart attack when you went after that second clip.Still going to increase my stocks in C-clips and bandages, because of those flying clips.
nnnice clear microphone!
i dont have a flag pick can u tell me what i can use imstead i tried daimond but thats slips away
In Israel The price is around 50$.
Thats not too bad actually, even if it has 6 standard pins out of 7. Could be a wicked lock if repinned with spools and alien technology.
Absolutely, 50 dollars (I am assuming US?) is not a bad price for 7 pins on a standard euro cylinder (looking at this from a consumer perspective even!)
This is the 2 star lock, it sells for maybe 30$ tops.
Are you sure ? I will be very impressed if you can find this or a similar lock with seven pins for under 50 $
You know what i stand corrected this lock sells for 35 $ on ebay, thats really inexpensive for what you get
where did you buy your wooden bucket for this video?
and great focus
I thought I saw threading or serrations in the care for pin 1 of at 10:10
Thanks
hey bill, what if I told you that in my head i have a design for a lock that can't be picked? haha
So long as it stays in your head, it never will be...
Bill pick the master lock model 101
Wait, how did the key go in without the core being lined up with the bible/pin slots?
?? with (most) dimple locks the pins are perpendicular to the keyway, so they were lined up.
Where do you see this? As far as I saw it was all just normal dimple lock behaviour, aka 90° to what it would look like with normal pin tumblers.
One Lonely Spool.
So what can we use to keep our thing safe
katabula bashili Abloy protec2
Could you not just used the pawl actuator gear for a tension wrench?
And where is that clip tool?
D Sloop You can't do that when it's in a door
It's not in a door, is it? lordy lordy lordy.
What kind of vice do you use? Where did you get it? It looks great. Thanks.
0:40 - Does it include the little critter aswell? :)
Loving the content
This is also exactly the same profile as classic 005 .. rb locks exploiting mul t lock expired patents ..
All I can see looking at those keys is guitar picks. :P
