    Someone made a comment that you can't make pads with the Behringer D because it is only one voice? Someone needs to listen to more Gary Numan.

      I have a Moog Sub 37 and I have bought one model D...I love the sound the flexibility in the sonic spectrum of the model D. The Sub 37 has much more possibilities in the modulation matrix, but I prefer the sound, the 3rd oscillator, the FM capabilities and tone of the model D without hesitation. The result of all this, I have sold the Sub 37, as simple as that.

    Sorry that I gave you the 666th "like"...BUT I really loved what you did in this example. I've got to say that the BMD is the most musical synth that I own, and now I have 2 of these to make a proper "2 Voice". I have had many of the old classics in my studio over 38 years and this BMD has now become my all time favorite! :) It's almost like cheating!
    Again, great job! :)

    Wow..!!😅
    I never used my Model D for this..because I have many boutiques for pads.
    Nice idea....very warm sounds..!
    With Model D you can separate the third oscillator from notes..but the gate trigger remain..
    and you can play the notes from the knob with a free coarse.
    I used often Model D patched with Neutron..for a total of 5 oscillators.
    They sounds great together.😉

    Nice. It is quite funny that most don't realize the power of a mono synth in the right hands. Almost every sound on Larry Fast's first Synergy album "Electronic Realizations for Rock Orchestra" was done on a Minimoog.

  • @ShimanskiBeats
    @ShimanskiBeats 6 років тому +4

    in this combo it certainly sounds impressive even with only one voice. Would be nice to hear it dry and then wet to allow some comparison on how much the effects do for the beautiful sound. And yes: that is true for any synth, or course

    • @EarmonkeyMusic
      @EarmonkeyMusic  6 років тому +6

      Shimanski Beats Yeah I know people like to hear dry stuff. But this us how I'd actually use it in a track so....

    • @uhldev
      @uhldev 6 років тому +2

      Shimanski Beats doesn’t matter if it’s dry or wet, as long as it sounds good

    • @KNHSynths
      @KNHSynths 6 років тому +1

      In our world you never hear anything "dry". At least the room is giving a color and a little reverb and some echo to even a flute, an old guitar or just your finger hitting the table... So why listening to any synth "dry" ? This has no meaning because you don't have any experience of how things are sounding "dry"... This should be a way to compare, but to compare to what ? Do you have a great experience of anechoic chambers ? I'm pretty sure the answer is no.
      So the best way to test the sound of synth is to make this test in a fair way, so mainly adding at least reverb.
      In our human experience of our environment we never hear raw sounds, apart specialists working with anechoic chamber. If you're not such a specialist, listening to a raw synth sound will teach you nothing ...

    I multitrack recorded the Boog to make some pads, also through Ubermod, and it sounded glorious! Who needs an analog poly when I have this for $300. There isn’t a three VCO poly with this kind of filter and modulation anyhow. I’m lovin it!

    It(s a great sound, and the Model D is brilliant--I own one too. But, realistically, a polysynth is really what you want for pads.

    • @davidpetersonharvey
      @davidpetersonharvey 5 років тому

      For chords, perhaps, but mono synth pads are totally doable, unique and useful. Besides, you can always record it and copy to multiple tracks, then pick shift. I'm doing it in Ardour and it's fast, way and works great. I have other synths and software that are great for pads but sometimes you just want that Moog sound.

    • @geoffk777
      @geoffk777 5 років тому

      @@davidpetersonharvey Ok, maybe what I should have said is that a polysynth is what you want for easy live performance of pads. Yes, you can also multitrack record or tune the oscillators to different chords on the fly But that:s definitely doing it the hard way, at least in 2019..

  • @darxkai
