This proves you really don’t need a big map or crazy graphics, you really just need a story and engaging atmosphere that’s what really gaming has always been about anyways. Too many good looking games with simplistic objectives just falls short compared to this masterpiece
This game don’t have a story. Like at all. Dev even said themselves. But it does have great atmosphere and wonderful physics

@@Aalbert02 only in the most surface sense. It’s got a reason for you to be there…but that’s about it. The way the creator puts it, no story, but lots of activities

as long as there's some progress you can make the story yourself, the feeling of earning something yourself alone is good enough for me tbh

Yeah, devs just found the gold spot between graphics and gameplay, they covered all worst parts of not good graphics behind VHS style, and focused on building the gameplay and difficulty balance

Fun fact, there’s technically 2 cars in the demo. The 180RS and the 200RS and the 200RS actually has 6 gears and is EXPONENTIALLY faster when it’s built compared to the 180 when it’s built
Yeah but I heard that the 180 has better acceleration but the 200 has a better top speed
This game is so interesting. The cars, the customization, in game decision, crew territories, I can just imagine what other elements are left hidden in the complete game

I hope it goes back to the original difficulty. Too many people complained about it being too hard. Too hard is what we need. Too hard is why I loved the Tokyo Xtreme Racer series as a kid. It felt absolutely amazing finally beating all the big bosses, working my way up. The downside of internet, is complainers ruin the potential of games before they're even finished.
fr, like 99% of racing games are too easy, including the ones lots of people say are hard like older nfs games. the only games i can think of that really scratch the itch of making me actually work for a victory are midnight club 2 and wipeout. i was looking forward to a game that doesnt make me a literal god amongst drivers simply for not crashing 24/7 and upgrading my car sometimes. when i go up against a racer that is hyped up to be fast, i want them to actually be FAST, not just "marginally faster than the other peons who i wiped the floor with effortlessly"

1. If you want easier games go play any Forza Horizon or modern NFS game
2. If you cant play games like these, its a skill issue
3. Like Theo suggested its best to have difficulty settings, it would be better if there are incentives to play on harder difficulties
In, conclusion instead of crying around about hard games try to improve yourself or suggest better ideas so that everyone can be satisfied.
I agree. I still play on the first few updates of the game just so I can feel like I am making actual progress in the game and feeling rewarded for it. not this "easy mode" that is now... hope it will change!
Exactly if a game isn't challenging in the slightest it loses all the element of fun and the sense of achievement when you beat someone, with this it's just like, meh I won...yay. 🤷
He said he only changed the starting racers. You legit couldn't win the day it dropped since after 3 races with Daisuke would dust you. But after that he got slightly easier

Theo, you can end the night earily, by going upstairs and going to the bunk bed and sleep to end the night. It has to be atleast 12 for you to end the night early.

This is great I love this there is an actual progression system that you have to work towards that unlocks more of the game. The more you play that’s how you keep your players invested.
This game reminds me a little of Street Racing Syndicate. Racing for pink slips in that was some of the most stressful, but also satisfying things I've ever seen in a racing game. Would be cool if the full version of Night Runners had something like that.

The single dial above your steering wheel should be the speedo, you have another option above your steering wheel, where you can get a tachometer with 11000 rpms, obviously it wouldn’t really help you right now but at least you can have both dials on at the same time
The car’s indicators should flash left or right to show what road / lane you should take in a race
The Burnout approach would suit this game well.
mileage of your car goes up as you drive it such a little detail yet add's so much to the game in my opinion

a really cool detail in the speedometers is that the light that shines on them depends on where u are in the map (a dark place for example)
I always play this game with the Maximum Tune 3 soundtrack playing in the background, makes the racing feel more intense

The secret formula to Night Runners. Keep your engine strength and cooling roughly 80% or higher. And ALWAYS when you can. Tires. Ecu. Transmission. Camshaft. Then slowly upgrade everything else. This is how you get stupid fast. Stupid quick.

I just started playing this on my laptop and I can not explain the feeling this game gives me it’s actually such an amazing vibe. Like people are saying u don’t need amazing graphics and big maps to enjoy a game just a good concept 10/10 experience
I think the diffuculty needs to be back and a difficulty option should be there in the start of the game so that whoever wants to just go according to their skills can be satisfied. Frankly the hard one gives more feel and is one of the things we are loving this games demo so far and this also makes it unique in every damn way to the arcade/racing games these days
for the overheat against the skyline i had that issue until i figured out that you can just sit on the start line and cooldown. also havent made it that far into the vid but for the drags to do a burn out hold brake fully hold accelerator fully then quickly release the brake and reapply fully and hold

Talking about difficulty… I’ve literally just started playing NFS UG for the first time in years and it’s so difficult compared to modern games. No rewind, tough AI even on medium and if you make a mistake that can be it, even right at the end of a long race.
I dont think so dude. i played the game with hard difficulty and manual shifting on a keyboard. you should try that it's easy.

Sup Pantha, you have to balance Power and cooling stats. If cooling is 100% it will never overheat. I you get below 100%, the more you get it low, the fastest your car overheat. Not good if you want do bosses races becouse you need to run a lot.
Dont worry about HP, you just need at least 700Hp to get 400km\h.
You can improve your handling buying every carbon body part and remove everyting you can. Also by reducing weight you get faster acceleration.
Another thing: the differrence between the 180Rs and 200Rs is that the 200Rs has 6 gears

A more cartoony mmorpg racing game i play called drift city does a good job of making u decide if u wanna keep ur cars or buy new ones. If u have time, give it a try if ur into the level uo and grind for rare parts/craft them kinda game. Theres like 200+ cars in the game as of right now

If your gonna build a car for just cruising around DO NOT GO OVER 400 horsepower select mostly the 2nd option for everything upgrade & handling and maybe go automatic transmission so you can focus on driving faster and less factors of distractions

About the ai they've been preset to 2 (medium) you can set them from easy to hardest 1 is easiest, 2 is medium, 3 is hard and 4 is hardest. There's a lot things that go unnoticed in this game

I hope the full game has cars like Hon-- I mean Yanda SNX, Sannis Z30S, Z300X and Z350, Zamda X7R CF and DF, Bitsumishi Knight 5 or 6, Rubasu CG8, Yotota RM2 WS20, Celi-Ka GT4, JZA70 and JZA80. And a.. Ledge Copperhead GTS Coupé would be cool too. Purrari F355 maybe as a dlc.

The only thing they need to do to perfect the guages is to make them go past maximum value so you can do acceleration from 0 and 360 the guage back to 0, same with rpm.
