Persona 3 New Cutscene Upscales [WIP Preview]

- The goal of these new upscales is to reduce the amount of distortion present in the image. Due to the extremely low-quality nature of the source videos (368i with a very low bitrate), no upscale is ever going to be without compromise. As a result, I have chosen to go for a softer look that retains more detail, as opposed to the sharper (but heavily distorted) appearance of the old upscales. Backgrounds and distance shots will most heavily benefit from this change in priorities.
Additionally, please keep in mind that UA-cam compression will make these upscale look worse than they will when the mod releases as it completely removes the fine-grain patterns. That said feedback (especially from those who were displeased by the old upscales) is appreciated. There may be some people who prefer the old upscales even with their distortion. If you do, please also let me know so that we can weigh up what options will be available when the mod releases. - Ігри

I think it looks really good, in all honesty. The old version does have its touch though. Well, who knows, having both isn't all that bad either. Will this be exclusive for FES or will you include it alongside the FEMc cutscenes?
is there still the og Cutscene with femc?? I personally like the lower quality

this is so good! will it will be available for the psp version? or is it just PC?
The PSP's screen is only 272p, so it would not be able to display or render these higher resolution cutscenes. Emulators are also not capable of replacing video files with higher res versions
@@Neptune_1313 Ah I see. I'm asking cause I saw someone managed to put the OG cutscenes into the psp version.
@@BkansBR3esos fueron con hacks y demas del PSP que aveses daba errores en el emulador (lo se por que lo estoy probando) y tiene las animaciones de 3FES en el P3P pero son mayormente borrosas o no con mucho detalle y no tan nitidas
It looks great but i think it could be tweaked a tiny bit more, have you tried REALESRGAN or some custom variant of it?
Real ESRGAN Anime is what was being used before. You can see it in the 'before' comparisons at the end of the video. The new upscales are actually made from multiple upscales stitched together with a lot of manual work on top of that

Mmmm psp , switch o pc ????
Only on PC. A version of this mod for PSP and Switch would not be possible as the Switch doesn't have a Cutscenes Restored mod and the PSP is only 272p
