Mt Kosciuszko Main Range Track is a 22 km grade 4 loop is considered one of Australia's great day walks, above the treeline in the alpine area of Kosciuszko National Park. It begins & ends in Charlotte Pass a fortnight ago I walked it with extreme weather & poor visibility it was hard to transverse it, now with clear skies but sufficient snow drifts remaining to add a bit of spice to this superb walk. I wanted to see all the views that are on display from magnificent glacial lakes, historic huts, crossing the Snowy River twice & of course summiting Mt Kosciuszko Australia's highest peak. Another bonus was the fact that I wanted to trial my new GoPro 10 with 5.3 K Panoramic & what better setting then the Main Range Track in Kosciuszko National Park.
The walk was done with a walking group from Canberra, my thanks to it's leader Doug Fitzgerald who I have walked with many times.

I couldn't help but repeat a visit to the Main Range Track in Kosciuszko National Park 2 weeks after the doing it in absolute inclement weather that made the walk difficult but nevertheless highly memorable but lacked the magnificent views that walk is renowned for so with clear skies & my new GoPro 10 to trial there was no better time then to sample one of Australia's great day walks while there was sufficient snow drifts to make it interesting
