We are getting our first ever Aldi’s where I live in NY. The bad thing is they are putting it in a way too small already congested shopping center. And the streets around it are congested. I normally only go to that area very early in the morning because of the congestion. We will see what happens when they open. I will check them out. But only once if it’s too crowded.
I love Aldi's. If you eat pork, I highly suggest the marinated pork carnitas (found with all the other raw meat). I usually get it for under $6 (put in slow cooker) and then buy some sour cream, flour tortillas and make some pico de gallo. You can do all of this for about $10 and will have leftovers. Walmart is so far from me and I only do pick up when I go out that way.

Those who say Aldis is cheaper and healthier than Walmart have a bias. Walmart is unequivocally, factually and without a doubt cheaper than Aldis in my area and they have a better selection of produce and healthy foods. There is no comparison between the two. I am a cheapskate who subscribes to flyers, coupons, etc. from every store around and Aldis is about middle tier in pricing behind Publix (If you shop only deals at Publix they come out cheaper in those areas).The produce in my local Aldis is sad and wilted and it is one of the dirtiest stores falling behind Save-A-Lot, in that regard.
I am stuck with Walmart since I don't drive and use the home delivery. In general, WM comes out to about 10-15% more than Aldi (it's ALDI, not AldiS by the way. You don't call it WalmartS, do you?). I don't like WM's produce and won't buy their meats,. Imagine different locations have different offerings. I do find the Aldi brands are often of better quality than Great Value. YMMV.
I am very blessed retired my husband and I. I don't really have an issue with a food budget but love to see your videos and have tried some of your recipes . I love saving money. I wish they had these types of videos when I became a widow at 28 with 3 growing boys .
Also our Walmart here recently closed… Theft problems and the other Walmart that’s about eight or 9 miles away no longer does self check out so you’re looking at Black Friday lines all the damn time it is the most awful shopping experience in the world. The store is loud there’s people everywhere the produce is awful the lines are long you gotta wait in another line to get your receipt checked you gotta wait for people with keys to come open things….. I cannot 😂
Love it & love Aldi. I think overall Aldi is a good deal. I’m one that loves Aldi’s meat & produce section. I really don’t care for Walmart’s meat & produce section. At Walmart I’m more about the dry goods in the food section, some deli items & of course Miss Patti LaBelle’s sweet potato pie!

Stir for about 5 minutes. Add your chicken stir for about 3 minutes. Cut the heat on low. Cover it(stir it occasionally). Should be done in about 15 minutes or so... I got that recipe from tikTok. 🥰❤️
Aldi brand products don't have alot of the dyes that are used in nane brand products. If that matters to you. And there prices have gone up like most other stores. I find some things are cheaper some things are not.

Please buy yourself more frozen vegetables frozen fruits to cut down on all that salt from canned foods. start going to local food banks once every three months learn how to store your food properly so it lasts longer. Look up recipes on line to try also don't go food shopping unless you run out of food in the fridge buy only what's necessarily n pantry.
Walmart has slighly better prices, but their customer service and customers are the bigg turn off. When I go to Walmart it is normally very early in the morning. Aldi and Trader Joes are safe clean stores with better customer service and respectful customers.
