Good Morning! I've had a few of you ask about me setting up a Patreon. I would love to do that, BUT I just don't have time to put out additional content. I would feel bad if you guys signed up for a monthly behind-the-scenes look at something... and then there's nothing there. 😅 So instead, I've set up a BuyMeACoffee account - essentially a virtual tip jar. If you want to "tip", you certainly can, and it just goes to the animals. Please don't feel obligated to do this though! I just wanted to set it up for those who were interested. 🥰 www.buymeacoffee.com/ellesreptiles Thanks and I hope everyone has a wonderful week. ❤️
Someone said this video couldn't come at a better time, and they're right. As soon as my stuff from amazon comes for her, I'll be driving around an hour to grab her :)
One of the things that helped me prepare the most for my new snake was looking up youtube videos of people getting bit by ball pythons. It sounds weird, but it erased my fear of the snake completely because getting bit was the one thing I was scared of. After seeing that getting bit isn't a big deal and doesn't hurt that bad, I was a lot more comfortable handling him.
This was very really helpful for those who are getting a new danger noodle soon! I can't stress enough about the feeders!! Before covid I would just go to the reptile shows and then suddenly there were NO reptile shows. It added a LOT of unnecessary stress and worry. Luckily there are a lot of nice feeder options online but they were more pricy than I was used to. I wish I had done the research before hand :P Anyway, as always this is such a good video
So I have an adult and the cage now works but I can’t decorate how I want anymore and it’s a 36Lx12WX18H and I need a new one but I don’t know what to get I don’t wanna spend 100000000$ on a new tank but I can’t seem to find one that’s a good enough size for the snake and a good enough size for me to decorate
Thank you for another awesome video Elle!! This video is right on time since I will be getting my ball python in the next couple hours! Tank is all set up and I have everything lined up in preparation 🥰🐍
I have a baby beard spike, he is doing great thanks to you, we have him in a 20 gallon long because he’s only 5 months and just changed him to a sand mat today! Thanks for all the help,
Do your research! Yes! Sent this to my son because he wants a ball python and I've been making him do SO MUCH research and randomly quiz him lol but this is a lot of great info! Thanks! If he keeps passing pop quizzes, we'll be getting one soon. I did have a question, What do you recommend for substrate?
I know this video is a year old but I want to say thank you for making it! I'm about to get a baby Puma BP. I've seen a bunch of your other Ball Python videos as well and I really really appreciate the information and advice! I've only got a uromastyx so getting ready for a snake is similar yet different. Love your videos! 💜
This can go for any snake. I am getting a hog island boa this coming Sunday. I started two weeks ago making sure I had all my supplies and ordering what I need, i setup everything over the weekend and now this next week I will monitor humdity and temperature and make adjustments as needed.
This was a shorter video but full of such good advice as always. Waiting for next DIY video love those too, you and your husband make them so much fun to watch and learn from. GOD BLESS and have a great Sunday.
I absolutely would love to get either a ball python or hognose in the future! I love how they look and their morphs are incredible. But for now I’m preparing for my beardie, I finally have the “due date”, the 15th this month! I’m so excited 😆
Hey! I just found your channel and I’m shocked you’re in Decatur, I’m in Vinemont! Love meeting other reptile enthusiasts. We just got our first ball python and you helped us set up a proper enclosure for him. 💚
So I'm getting a leopard gecko and I'm also getting tile for the substrate where do i put the probe in the tank from the thermostat? Since the tile is covering the bottom of the tank.
Ball pythons are becoming more and more popular I have a corn snake but I think ball pythons are cool but I'm more of a corn snake person I own one I named her Medusa I have fun setting up her tank every time I think this was a great video Elle you gave very good information keep making more awesome videos👍
I just got my banana enchi and I’m letting him get use to his home before I play with him. I’m having trouble with the humidity when I bought him they told me I didn’t need a thermostat I did my research so I knew that wasn’t true I’m still learning him lol
Does anyone know why my leopard geckos just aren’t growing? They’re 2 years old and are just the size of juveniles, they don’t have mites or anything and they eat a lot I just don’t know what’s up. My vet said they’re perfectly healthy and they’re only 8 inches long.
For Ball Pythons that are subadults and adults I believe the best enclosure for them is the Zen Habitats. That's what I have and it's PVC, heat mat compatible, but looks like Bamboo. It's beautiful, retains heat and humidity perfectly. I have a 2ft×4ft×16inch one and it's perfect. For my baby ball Python he's in a Sterilite tub from TARGET. He can stay in that until he's big enough to go into the Zen Habitat. On their website they can tell you more about them and have short videos too. Check it out guys. Good for Blue tongue skinks too.
Hi im so glad i found this Channel! I was wondering if you could do a diy bio-active tank tutorial :) all your animals are so cute btw. Sending love from australia ♥︎♥︎♥︎ ☻︎

Such good info for new keepers 👏👏 Love, love, love this video idea. I've been meaning to make one like this but for chameleons.

Ball pythons are definitely a lot of fun😊😊Stretch is now four months old and in shed, he’s gotten so big 😊❤️
That's awesome 😊 I love watching them grow and the slight changes in pattern/color
Elle's Reptiles and when they shed their pattern can be seen on the shedded sleeve 😃
Thank you for another awesome video Elle!! This video is right on time since I will be getting my ball python in the next couple hours! Tank is all set up and I have everything lined up in preparation 🥰🐍

Thank you! I’m currently playing around with a wet hide for a leopard gecko. Finding time is the hardest part to this DIY stuff 😅
Thank you! I feel like this is very helpful, and many people don't motion some of those things.

I'm so glad they've been helpful! And it's so awesome you're doing research on them first. You're going to do great! 🐍
What size tank are your ball pythons in? They look to be a 20 gallon long....
One is a 40g breeder, the other is a 40g short. 😊
@@ellesreptiles oh ok. That's good. I am sure they love their enclosures! Where did you find the 40 short?
It came (used) from a Habitat For Humanity Restore. We got really lucky haha
So I'm getting a leopard gecko and I'm also getting tile for the substrate where do i put the probe in the tank from the thermostat? Since the tile is covering the bottom of the tank.
Not even kidding I’m getting my ball python today 😂😂
