Holy smokes! Is this pace of growth typical for this species? If not, I’d love to know what the conditions were that you think contributed to this explosion of growth!
I've never had them start as fast as in the video but yes once they get going they grow extremely fast. If growing indoors try to blast them with light and keep the soil wet once they start growing.
Beautiful varieties, especially the two large-leaf ones. Did you use artificial light? Near the end of the video, the smaller leaves all wilt. Was it cause by drought or rot / too much water ? Thank you for the beautiful timelapse.
Yes, we used artificial light to grow plants. Some small leaves wilted because the larger leaves covered the light, or they are changing to new batch of leaves. After the video, the plants still grew steady.
Potential problems : The bulb was dead already when planted. The soil was too heavy and wet, the bulb likely started growing, but has rotten and died. The soil was too dry so the bulb thought it was not time to grow. The temperature was too low ( aim for 20c to 25c ) so the bulb won't grow ( below 18 C increases risk of rot too ) The bulb was planted too deep and couldn't reach surface. Unpot it carefully to check if the bulb has started growing. Mine was dead and never sprouted, so I bought one already grown. It's a popular plant for Mothers Day, check garden centers and other stores, they likely have beautiful ones at this time of year.
Thanks for video. I just purchased the same bulbs today from Walmart. Can’t wait for results!
Wish mine grow that quick
So beautiful! I love Caladiums, and this is wonderful!
Mine are starting to sprout 🌱
당신의 영상 덕분에 칼라디움에 대해 잘 알 수 있게 되었어요. 감사합니다. ^-^

Idea: Can you plant a sassafras tree? Or a money tree?
Thanks. I will surely look into it.

Planted mine months ago, & hasn’t grown idk what I did wrong
Didn't know it came from a BULB
From where did you bought this bulb
If you live in US, you would easily find it in home improvement stores or garden centers in April - May.
I planted mine 3 weeks ago and nothing has come up.

It took mine about 60 days. I almost gave up...
