Thank you so much. We lack so much info for tropical climates. It is currently winter in Mauritius and very rainy and ‘cold’ (12 degrees celcius). Thank you for all the info. Will definitely follow the advices you gave
I’m new to houseplants and I just received this plant as a birthday gift, so I’m trying to learn how to care for it, they are very beautiful, Thank you for this video, I found it helpful and I just subscribed 😊
It's very interesting that your Caladium can still have leaves in the ''rest season'' in your climate. Thank you for the pretty plants and information.
Temperate climate here, but I have a small indoor tent to provide the extra humidity and light my Thai constellation monsteras need to thrive during the winter. Then I saw a Red Flash and had to add it! I wondered what the dormancy would look like. Thanks you for the great video!
Thank u so much. I'm a frustrated-trying-hard caladium lover, but I always ended up killing them. I leearned a lot from this video. God bless you more!
Hi again thank you for the tip on caladium. Since recently its raining a bit hard, like at this moment what i did is to put them in my garage. I only have 1 variety. I love your caladium so beautiful 🌿🌱 Thanks for the tip. God bless🙏❤️
OMG! Ang gandaaaaaaa naman Plantito! Mahal ka talaga ng plants mo dahil minamahal mo rin sila ng todo. God bless you and may there be more videos to share. Will always be a fan!😇🍃
As for me, ive put my Caladiums in water platter that I made and they liked it. Now they've grown healthier than my previous way of growing them. Thanks for the tips my friend.
Good evening Atty. Plantito, very informative caladium care tips, maybe i can have same caladiums as yours only in my dreams🤗🤗🤗. I have 3 varieties before but they' re all gone now,i love caladiums but they don't love me, same with alocasia🤨🤨🤨😁😁😁
Thank you for making clarification on the dormancy period. I think the rain these few days ago made my Caladium not doing good. Before the summer ends I have these 3 Caladiums that had grown very big leaves and sturdy stems. But now they have reverted into small leaves. And leaning leaves I hope they could still bounce back. Thank you Sir
this completely answers my question about dormancy. i'm in Malaysia, and was wondering if the bulbs will be dormant during any time of the year. it's now monsoon season, and it almost always rain everyday, and when it's not is gonna be a bit hotter than usual. thank you for all the tips, will be making some adjustments to my set up based on this :)
Do those beautiful calladium planted in pot or ground ? Why my white Xmas calladium lost it's white and turn to green .. I am subscribing . Love your channel
I could not believe the size of those caladiums. I just planted some to accompany my large alocasia, and I’m hoping they might grow large too because they have the right elements .🤞🤞
I have a question, if you grow Caladiums as a house plant with a grow lights and in the regulated temps of a home will the plant go into dormancy like the tropic environment? I just bought bulbs I will be keeping them indoors. I am not sure if I should induce dormancy if it is not necessary. Based of this video I think it will just go smaller then bounce back on its own, maybe? Any experience with this? Thank you great video !
Thank you, the video is very informative. You have spectacular caladiums, I hope that they grow so beautifully also in Italy (Tuscany) too, for now mine are dwarfed, but it's only been a month since they sprouted.
Hi. Your vlog is very informative. Although I beg to differ the part about rainy season here in the Philippines being the dormancy period of caladiums because I have several varieties in my care and they become very lush during this time.
Hi i have read somwehere that its not the season that determines the dormancy of caladiums but their age and that the dormant season of caladiums in the tropics is not as pronounced as it is in temperate countries. Maybe thats the reason why the dormancy of my caladiums differ from others.
Thank you for your advice! I have all the caladium that I see that you have except the green leaves one, but yours are humongous, compared to the ones I have. I try to use miracle grow food plant and they grow just fine.I live in the United States with 4 .seasons👍🏻Blessings!
Caladiums really love rain water in shaded area okay lang silang maulanan basta nakakatagas ang tubig sa lalagyanan nila mas maganda kung sa ground mo cla itatanim lalaki sila ng husto mas mabilis silang dumami pag tag ulan sa summer sila nagiging dormant ...yan ang opinion ko dahil marami kaming tanim gabi gabi sa province edible man or ornamental
Thank you for sharing your expetience and opinion. Kahit dito sa mga comments if you read iba iba ang experience sa dormancy ng caladiums some have it in summer some in rainy season. Based on my research it is not the season that influence the dormancy but the age of caladiums and in tropics the peruod is less pronounced than in temperate countries. Kaya siguro iba iba ang experience natin.
regarding fertilizer: I know White Queen gets the best color (distinct colors and beautiful separated colors) with Less fertilizer. If you go too heavy on the fertilizer, they stay pink for a long time / like 90+ % of the leaf's life. thanks for the video. I'm near Chicago, so Caladium mean SUMMER to me!
I just bought 12 different kinds of caladiums on Etsy but in bulbs and will be growing it indoors. Will let it sprout outdoors but will be leaving them indoors once its sprouted
I use banana peels and rabbit poop and my plants R very happy! I just got 300 bulbs and don’t know if I’m going to pot them or unground. However, I do get low 30’s a few nights a week during Dec-march. I don’t want them to rot👍🏻
Bro, I am Filipino too. My simple caladium is still alive during this month of Aug. So does that mean it will not have dormant month any more. So I I propagate them now instead.
Thank you so so much for the info.i really needed this!i live in the tropics also and i just couldn’t understand my caladiums.thanks❤️can you please do a vid about your organic pesticide mixture.tia😊
So glad I just came across your channel, I have six variety of caladium but only two are in bloom, from this video I guess that shouldn't be happening, what can I do to revive the other four. Subscribing from tropical Barbados.

Is it normal for the white Christmas caladium to have abit of red shades?
Can you elaborate on why you don’t use fertilizer? No judgement, just curious!
What variety is that sir do you sell them
I saw a propagation of caladium where the bulbs are cut to separate the baby stems. Is this good Method?
