'Army convoy and emergency vehicles responding' - the first thing that comes to mind is army deployed on the streets of London in a State of Emergency. Pretty cool impression.
Neil Thank you for say where there going. I Love the LOOK of them how there set up. Such a Heavy Duty boom lift. And the Rear hitch set up. All ARMY Trucks have gone to cab over types. Such a universal Wrecker.
I live in an area where the Welsh Guards practice often I am also live between two military bases so see these convoys alot. Never get boring though :D
I don’t know about the UK but I do know that every man in the US swears to protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC before he’s even issued a uniform in every branch of our Military and that pledge is for life. We just pray that most will honor that Vow in the comings months, years
Here in Europe you go to the army because you want to escape living with mum and dad or to have "fun", unfortunately there is zero patriotism in Europe
The British Army swears an Oath of Allegiance to the Queen, her Heirs and Successors, and to obey the lawful orders of officers set above them. (Personally I think the US seems to have the better approach).
Also, the way the guy ran when he heard a siren when that fire engine was on it's way around the corner dod so like he thought it was the police looking for him!
British Army, British Ambulance Service, British Police Force, British Fire Brigade. Swedish, French and German vehicles. Something went wrong here a long time ago.
The main problem with drivers is that when they hear the sirens or see the beacons, they panic, instead of thinking straight. A lot stop blocking the emergency vehicles. They should be aware of what is happening around them and then safely try to get out of the way, if possible, and not just stop. One day it could be you or yours that need the assistance of the emergengy services, so think on.
@@colinp2238 run a red light or move into a yellow hatch box or go onto the other side of the road the next time you give way to an emergency vehicle and a couple of weeks later let me know how it went.
@alif8884 You only have to move your car a little way over, making sure that you are not blocking the traffic. If you have ever read the Highway Code, you would know.
The use of unsynchronized warning lights doesn't help, particularly at night or in complex road scenes. They create a 'self-ambiguating' signal with confusing or nil information about movement and location. Better the Victoria (Australia) designs: ua-cam.com/video/TFRbL1okbN8/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/SDal6qF-ngM/v-deo.html , ua-cam.com/video/ZgkmLgh520U/v-deo.html The coordinated arrays have far more visual impact than uncoordinated arrays which are mutually distracting and give observing drivers no constant reference point for tracking or distance assessment. OK for Christmas lights, useless as signals to traffic.
And this is why, if the emergency services have time for a take-away meal during nightshift, it always arrives nice and hot. I jest, do not take offence - I have the greatest respect for the emergency services and the work that they do.
Only in the UK: a fire brigade 'officer' gets a Mercedes. The class function still operating, I see. In other jurisdictions its the same SUV for all. Practicality over (fake) splendour

Not sure about what's going on there, over the last few months I've seen a few military vehicles with police escorts in the North East a1, a69 and m74 heading north west. There's also been quite a few hercules aircraft in and out of Newcastle Airport, not normal.
Give the emergency services room to reach people. Restrictions and road narrowing aren't good in any city, London is utterly ridiculous now with all the cycle lanes, speed humps, width restrictions etc.
I haven't lived in the UK since '88. Is this normal in London these days? I'm not from London, but lived there for 8 years. I don't like to see the army on the streets. They can turn on their own people quite easily. I grew up in N. I. in the 60s and 70s.
Yes, we need to cut back the army more because the money is not spent on defense. It is spent on failed aggression vanity projects such as Iraq and Afghanistan.
Nope we have been using them for years, the U.S. Are only just starting to switch to various European sirens, nine times out of ten the U.S. Follow European trends years later, just look at the helmet situation in the U.S. The fire departments are slowly starting to use European style helmets although there has been some resistance to them!
