Good job at keeping your cool, following the proper protocols, being informed of the laws and having a dash cam! She was definitely at fault. I hope this video goes viral so that it can become a lesson for other drivers that try to even think about trying to pull this stunt. You should also get a dash cam for the rear of the car.

Or just stay there short-time for whatever "recreation" you seek and use a taxi. I can't see how any self-respecting foreigner could tolerate it there more than for a vacation. I know some desperate blue-pill TradCons want a wife and family, but I'm MGTOW and have no need of that.

No they couldn't. He had proof. He was driving on a major road while they were on a minor road. Common sense you have to give the right away to vehicles on the major road unless there's a traffic signal or you had enough time to proceed safely but the vehicle on the major road sped up.

@@dllee5930 We are talking about the Philippines not Thailand. If it were Thailand I might agree with you. He has his own proof and there's a street camera above. Also investigators came over not like regular street cops. These people are trained to assess accidents. So it's highly unlikely the police would side with the woman who was not even drinking in the face of insurmountable evidence.

    Yup! That's how it goes.
I'll say this much, there's little or no road rage in the Philippines. Junctions always fascinate me ~ everyone converges and merges somehow without collision with only inches to spare, but they somehow do it. I've had motorcycles and tricycles come at me like some crazed kamikaze, even though they'll come off worse ~ and that's before they realise you're a Westerner.
I have the added disadvantage of normally driving on the left (UK) which has a real legacy problem. Fortunately, I've never had an accident in the Philippine (yet) but thanks for all the good advice. My wife is Filipino, and it's good to have her around in a conflict. She's the daughter of a Barangay Captain, and boy, don't we all know it when she's firing on all cylinders 😂🤣😂

I fully agree...I can tell tell Brian is a straight up guy..He is being truthful..and the tape will tell.. Love it! I live here in AC...and each day driving is an awakening of sorts..lol So far after 5 months here..I've been pick pocketed once (lost a bunch of cash) and cards..learned my lesson too well...got rear ended by a trike..my girlfriend driving..and we still got taken by a shady deal they made. The guy who hit us..had a friend to fix our tail gate..it was going to cost us 20 for labor and 20 for paint. after 2 hours at the police thing .. (same place as Brian just showed) its a hot day..we just caved in and said ok. We had to leave car overnite ..which I was skeptical of..coz the damage was minimal..a couple of small dents. The next day we go get the car and I check the tires and under the hood to be sure stuff hadn't been changed out..It looked ok..and they did a good job on tailgate..I get down theroad halfway home and notice the dang odometer..had just over 1000 kilometers more on it. My girl didn't want to deal more with it..we stiff them on the extra twenty..and I wish id taken a pic of the odometer. Keep vigilant folks... Good video as usual Brian..Keep us informed :)

And, my wife has taught me (since 1982), keep my mouth shut. I let her and my relative handle, with the police, and I keep out of it. Amor propio applies here in a major way. Defined as self-esteem, self-image, self-respect and other similar concepts, but it can also mean the bad side - self-pride, self-propagation, saving face. Meaning, public image is all that matters. Right or wrong. Good job on the dashcam. I have one in both my vehicles. Now, what are going to do with the 10K you saved. I suggest buying the wife something nice.

Brian, many viewers with Philippines experience will be able to relate to this incident. There is a bit of a misconception that ALL Filipino's are friendly but the reality is, you upset them
inadvertently and you will be the bad one. A crowd will gather around and will all be against you. The Americano is always at fault and they want your money, no matter how much you smile at them. Sorry and thankyou are not part of their vocabulary.
A few years ago a British friend rode on a Ceres bus from the Province to Cebu City. The conductor took his money but gave no ticket and no change. An inspector boarded along the way
and my friend explained why he had no ticket. A Filipina sitting nearby said to him, "You Americano's are always complaining". Can't win?

Hahaha I agree. I'm filipina but spent almost more than all my life abroad, and when I come visit the Philippines, everyone thinks I'm fully loaded including my own family. They expect me to pay for every get together at restaurant, outings etc. So each time I come for a visit i don't broadcast it, I hide hahaha.. I think it was because some pinoy who went and worked overseas come home extravagantly spend money, living like a one day millionaire, that made the pinoy locally became dependent and some of them became lazy to look for ways to find income.

@@wrinkelsecam9492 Not only Expat Pinoys do that, so do many Foreigner Expats including those who reside there also bragging in front of other expats and Filipino's
about how well off they are and we know how naive Pinoys are and when they hear the b/s from the boretons they mistakenly believe that all foreigners are rolling in money, have so much, and just give it away. These sort of people give the rest of us a bad reputation because we are all judged on the actions of the few braggarts.

What's interesting about that. She always communicated with me on her phone. I asked her if your phone isn't working. How are you communicating with me. She said what I've noticed a'lot of filipinas say "Nevermind" and I told her no problem and I blocked her. Would you believe she made up another account to get in touch with me to tell me she was actually using her sisters phone. I told her she couldn't even lie straight! She did!
