Just ordered these on Amazon. I’m in the US and these are hard almost impossible to get unless you order from overseas. Not sure why. I’m stoked to get them! The super taper has the motor the magic clip should have had all along.

Yup, had my magics and seniors for abit now and they have felt like they've lost power. Zero gapped both clippers and they snag bad when taking down bulk with closed guard. used the super tapers and power is really good. seniors get hot sound loud same with the magics.
You know if you can put the tapers top blade on the Magic’s lower crunch blade? I’m curious about this combo . I realize I may prefer an angle taper blade for my self haircuts but like the idea of a textured crunch blade staggered cut too. Iv been trying to figure out how many taper blades wahl makes . I think I saw the icon or legend also seems to have a taper Blade , I forget which one . I just don’t need super short fade setups. The angle would make my life a little easier I feel
Nice review on both. I've used super tapers for years ,corded ones take a lot of beating. Using seniors cordless. Still a place in my heart for tapers as done 1000s of cuts. Maybe now purchase a cordless pair as back up
My 20 year old corded Super Taper looks like it has a bigger motor than some new 5 star wahl models. Is it true that old wahl motors are more powerful than newer ones? Maybe for energy saving/efficiency regulations?
@@sunumiah9643 I've never tried them tbf. I prefer cordless! P.s the only thing to be mindful of with the supertaper is the lever. It can get loose after a while unless they've upgraded them👍🏿

I'd say seniors personally as they have much more power but this is sacrificed by shorter batter life. Saying that chris Bossio does an eco battery that gives twice the cutting time!!

I remember getting a corded super taper years ago, after a while I zero gapped the blades, is it nessecary to zero gap a new cordless one or do they come like that out of the box, also getting fade guards they should make doing fades on yourself easier
Personally I prefer the supertaper I feel the motor is stronger and the cutting blade is better in my honest opinion. The only problem is that the lever screw becomes loose after a while😭😭

on C.O.D.E Barber I had the same problem and I fix it ez. Just clean good with alcohol the screw and the hole. Maybe oil get in and make it lose because of slippery. If this not fix the problem use a little teflon to the screw 😉

MDS bless family. Tbh I'm not 100% sure on what the differences are. From what I'm lead to believe the premium guards are more durable and have a better build quality and look. 9:32 I can confirm my WMARK NG-101 at 67% battery left has the same motor sound frequency as the prolithium. It increases a bit when I plug in the charger cable. Btw my Philips HC3520 actually has higher frequency that my WMARK! And that's with an NiMH internal battery.. Any chance of comparing the motor sound with the corded super taper?
When taking out my bold line should I use my clipper to make the guideline, then use my trimmers to clear the bulk so my clippers stay sharp? Or does it not matter?
I dont think you would see much difference if u zero gap them both. The only thing I'd say is the stagger tooth blade I found bites if u zero gap them👊🏿
The fade blade wasn't designed to be cero gaped because of the design of the cutting blade that have one short one longer teeth if you cero gape it will bite of course

The difference between the 5 star and the normal is that the 5 star is meant to have a slightly faster motor. Regardless they all good in my opinion it's all about preference. Recently bought the super taper and it sounds more powerful when used plugged in even though its fully charged ready for cordless use. Is that the norm or should it sound the same plugged in or not?
If I'm honest they were both fully charged. For some reason the ones I got just seem a tad faster. It could be the blade I dont kno but I made sure to make sure they were both fully charged. Maybe I should have shown for the camera. My bad. Bless bro

Charge time and duration when charged ate the same according to spec but over time cordless batteries may start to hold less charge. I've had mine for around 3 years now and they haven't caused me no concerns!👊🏿👊🏿

I've seen a lot of barber videos on you tube especially when it comes to buzz cuts and skin fades. Almost all of them are using a number 0 guard which is 1/16 of an inch. Recently I bought a Wahl super taper and it came with 4 guards, the lowest of them number 1 with 1/8 of an inch. Now I'm wondering if I still can simulate the UA-cam videos bearing in mind that I don't have 0 guard. I'm not a barber but I'm interested in learning some cuts. Maybe somebody can help me on this one. Greets
U can try using no gard open and use the corners slightly sideways instead of the half guard that's what I use to do. The half guard comes with the magic clips but u can buy them separately on ebay or amazon. Let me kno and I'll pit a link for u to get them. No u cant, this clipper comes with minium 0.7mm cut, and u cant even zero gap them even if u switch blade. Dont buy this trimmer go for the magic clip cordless instead.

The magic clip with the ceramic blade doesn’t bite at all, it snags because of the stagger tooth blade but once you change it, it’s amazing

Buy the fake and change blade or buy fake one amd a budget wahl n change blade as you can get a standard clipper cheaper then a clipper blade.

The super taper was probably charged more. They both have the V9000 rotary motor

Charge time and duration when charged ate the same according to spec but over time cordless batteries may start to hold less charge. I've had mine for around 3 years now and they haven't caused me no concerns!👊🏿👊🏿

The corded are much stronger and durable in my honest opinion also they heavier. But for me I'm mobile so cordless works for me👊🏿

Hey there bro, love your insights 🤙🏾got quick question about the magics, I saw a wahl version called salon series 6000cc in a shop in New Zealand and they tried to say it's the same motor and same blades as the magic clippers. All it didn't have according to the retail guys was the magic logo on it, any insights on this one ? Lol

I've seen a lot of barber videos on you tube especially when it comes to buzz cuts and skin fades. Almost all of them are using a number 0 guard which is 1/16 of an inch. Recently I bought a Wahl super taper and it came with 4 guards, the lowest of them number 1 with 1/8 of an inch. Now I'm wondering if I still can simulate the UA-cam videos bearing in mind that I don't have 0 guard. I'm not a barber but I'm interested in learning some cuts. Maybe somebody can help me on this one. Greets
U can try using no gard open and use the corners slightly sideways instead of the half guard that's what I use to do. The half guard comes with the magic clips but u can buy them separately on ebay or amazon. Let me kno and I'll pit a link for u to get them. I'll try pick some up👍🏿 but if u want to know in advance the seniors are much more powerful, heavier and has the bottom made of metal also has the fade blade. The main issue I have is the battery life is much less😩
