Hi Lauren, welcome to the channel :)) That's awesome that you're transitioning to being vegan 🙌 I made a video a while ago on our vegan kitchen and pantry which might help you ua-cam.com/video/X0_3R2ll_GU/v-deo.html Just remember that much of what you are eating already eating is vegan and a lot of the comfort foods like bread, chips, pasta, rice, crisps, lots of tinned food like baked beans too. We found the fun part for us was just going around the supermarkets and looking at ingredients and seeing what we could have. awesome vlog, guys! Looks like a great day. Random question but what do vegans feed their dogs? I saw a lot of dog owners at the festival. And I know you had a cat at one point.. I know cats are carnivores so are vegans okay with giving their pets meat?
Good question :)) Some vegans feed their pets meat as a lot of the meat in pet food it reclaimed meat that isn't fit for human consumption so would be thrown away anyway, but we know people who give their pets vegan cat and dog food. 🙂 The cat who comes to our home is actually the neighbour's cat so luckily we don't have to make the decision of what to feed her 👌🙂
Thanks! Dogs are omnivores so they would be okay with vegan dog food I guess but how can a cat survive on vegan cat food? I just googled "are cats carnivores?" And this is the first thing that popped up "The cat is considered by scientists to be a strict carnivore and the dog is considered to be an omnivore. Both species are in the Class Mammalia and the Order Carnivora, but here's the difference: The cat cannot sustain its life unless it consumes meat in some form."
