Aww what a great birthday surprise, I have seen a video on UA-cam where this man surprised his wife with a lego set that she could make the ultra sound picture of their baby.
He hasn't seen anything of Transformers, but that's a good idea to show him the original as it's age appropriate and I think he'd love it (I certainly did growing up!) 😀
