- Day 5, oh baby! Our Day 5 practice is such a beauty. This practice reminds us how the way we carry our body can resemble or represent our innermost feelings. This session is also a guided invitation to make it your own, be intentional about the way you show up to move and breathe. Can you be gentle? Can you trust the wisdom of your body? The physical branch of yoga offers us the chance to better understand and get to know ourselves.
Continue to show up for practice and focus on how you do so. It’s all happening. ✨

I’m highly emotional during this Flow journey because my dad has been in the hospital ICU a little over a week. Each time I get on the mat I find myself in tears, but you’re helping me relax through this very difficult time. Thank you Adriene❤️

It is January 20th and I am on Day 5. I am proud of myself for having shown up at the mat today because I really really didn't want to. But here I am, feeling more grounded and relaxed at the end of the practice. Shoutout to everyone who has started it later or is catching up days later - I see you and I appreciate you!

Thriving on day five! Just finished. Today’s session flew by! Have never ever done 5 days in a row of yoga. Today I was walking and happened to touch my mid thigh and it felt as hard as a brick, such muscle tone! That’s from 4 days! Yahoo! And I’m a young 74 years old. This is saving my body and spirit.😅

It’s snowing here so I took my mat to the window and opened the blinds. I lit some good smelling candles. Today is a good day to cozy up inside 😊
It‘s snowing here as well, I walked my dogs and then got into comfy clothes for yoga, it‘s like being in a cocoon.
January used to be a month of embodying the miserable, cold bleak weather, but yoga sessions like this one change one’s mindset into sun breaking through the clouds ⛅ Day 5 ✔ ❤

This time last year I wasn't fully recovered yet from an eating disorder and I found the parts where we lie still to be really difficult - I felt like yoga needed to be a workout 100% of the time. This year, I'm better able to relax. Putting my hand on my belly is a little uncomfortable, but it's going to be good for me and help me reconnect with my body. I'm so grateful for this series to bring me even further on my journey ❤
I appreciate and respect your honest in a public forum such as this. Modern society isn't built around healthy eating patterns or a healthy sense of body image... But adiene is gentle and kind and the community is lovely!! We are all here for you and with you.

Had to fight through this one a little bit. My new year didn't start great with family conflict on new years and my mom finding out she has a tumor on my 18th birthday just a few days later. I have not done yoga in a while and was thinking about just stoping the video but then I remembered that it didn't matter to you if I did it correctly as long as I kept breathing. So I simply tried to focus my mind and body and finding calm. And I actually finished the whole video. I can't say that it changed everything for the better but it definetely helepd me to move slowly. I have never written before but your channel has been helping me for some time now through anxieties and panic attacks and terrible school stress and now hopefully through these new challenges my life is throwing at me. Much love and thanks to you and your team adriene.

I needed this today. The anxieties in my brain and the noise of the outside world are overtaking me a bit, but the sanctuary of this practice, particularly connecting to my breath and "finding what felt good", was so healing. Thank you Adriene and have a great day everyone! We've done FIVE days! ❤
No doubt the outside world is noisy and chaotic... The peace of being on the mat with Adriene and sharing the time with the community is sacred for sure.

Hello Dear Adriene, it’s such a pleasure to have found your marvelous yoga sessions. I enjoy them deeply and found your method wonderful….when your voice is guiding us through flows, it feels like we are really connecting our bodies, minds and souls. Had a day filled with anxiety but didn’t want to miss a day so did this after midnight. Proud that I still made it.
High five, everyone! We're awesome. ❤ Started my day annoyed at boyfriend for waking me up with his (insane!) snoring, but knew I had another day of yoga to look forward to, so got up, lit all the candles and (gently) jumped on the mat.
PS: No boyfriend was harmed. He's still fast asleep.😂❤

😂 I hear you. Hubby recently got this mouth guard (6 months ago), as he was a chronic snorer. I'm talking freight train, shake the room, snorer with apnea. He's slept so much better since, and so have I. Has reduced his snoring 85% i'd say and I havn't had to check that he's still with us when he stops breathing for 10 seconds at a time😅. Something to do with the loose lower jaw in snorers falling back and closing off the windpipe. I've seen others use mouth tape on Yt, and share their journey. It sounds weird but it works. 💚💚☮☮

Running on almost no sleep, due to some scary health news about my 9 yo yesterday. The first thing I thought of when I got up was "I need to get to the mat. Breathing will help." Grateful for this community and these daily offerings from Adriene.

All of my animals (two doggos and kitty) joined me for practice today. I can feel that my energy is transmuted during these practices, and I think they can too, because by the end of this session they were all curled and sprawled around me and in blissful sleep. Namaste 🥰

I started late, but I'm here from Pennsylvania! I've been doing your videos for 2 years now and it has helped me, a 60 something year old grow confidence in my body and hold on to balance and flexibility. I had a bad experience with yoga in my 30's (had an instructor who, on my first day, decided to use me as a "what not to do" example to the rest of the class) and so it's taken me 30 years to get the courage to try yoga again. I thank you for that!

I’m so glad that I’m getting back into a daily practice again. I’m noticing a difference in my body, but my mind is definitely being a bit slower to follow. I’m working to remind myself that that’s ok, and to just keep showing up and breathing, so let’s see where this goes! Love to you all!
Before starting this journey, I hadn't done Yoga for about 2 months ... even though, I really needed it. I realize now how important this daily practice is important for my mental health. Without fully knowing it, it helped me tremendously for the past 2 years. Thank you for being you and giving us this gift. ❤😊

I'm lovin the squat pose we do in each practice it is so good for my hips, ankles, calves, knees, groin and glutes. I just need to practice keeping my back spine aligned in a good posture and not arching. It also has to be good for pelvic floor muscles. At 53 yrs it really is important this squat pose. lets go day five! this practice was wonderful and just what i needed. im not at home today but i still did this practice on a towel on carpeted floor in some stretchy baggy jeans. i just love how accessible this journey is. its started snowing outside halfway through my practice which was a very nice and made this even more peaceful and relaxing. thank you adriene and the fwfg team and everyone else doing this along w me for making all my days brighter. see you all tomorrow 💕

today I started to panic when it came to finding the “perfect” place to practice. when i realized what that was the source of the panic, i convinced myself to practice on the bare kitchen floor while my cookies were baking. practice was totally possible there and i ending up not needing the “perfect” place.
This has been my favorite of the journey so far. The breath work was so helpful for me. Thank you for all that you do! I am a bit behind, and I’m working on making this a priority as it helps immensely with my mindset and chronic constipation

this was such a sweet practice. I was low-energy and gearing myself up for a hard session, and was met with this gentleness instead which was exactly what I needed.
I even thought to myself, "why is she being so nice to us?" which really shows how much I needed nurturing instead of pushing today. xo!
The cueing for coming in & out of poses has really stepped up a notch,I’m finding myself more ‘in’ the poses,being present & feeling my muscles much more than previously. Enjoyed the breathwork on this one too x

I spent almost an hour before practice walking around ranting to my empty house about some past experiences that were on my mind, really just venting to myself. And then as soon as I came to the mat I dropped into my breathing and it all melted away! Spent a few extra breaths at the end breathing lots of love in and out to really feel that love all through me and now I feel so calm and soothed, ready to journey through the rest of my day with mindfulness 💕 take care, friends x
Adriene, thank you. 43 years old and an avid gym rat. Recently my body has begun to feel like a wound up rubber band and I told myself I need to be proactive and get “longer”. I remembered finding your channel years ago and thought I would return to get some work in. As it turns out, 30 days of yoga popped right up! I have been doing it every night before I jump in the shower before bed and not only is my body feeling better but my sleep has vastly improved as well. I appreciate the work you put in so we can feel better. Thanks again 🙏

During the lockdown I got to do Yoga multiple times a week. Now that I am the wage earner in the house and my husband is retired I am working two jobs. Unfortunately I let yoga go as I transitioned into these long work weeks. Lately I have been feeling a bit more frazzled and unfocused, like I did before I started yoga; so back to the mat I am going. Thanks Adriene for creating this 30 day challenge that I could start up and return to whenever I can find a half hour to spare. Looking at many of my peers in their early 60’s, I know yoga is one of the reasons I have so much more energy, focus, physical strength, stability, stamina and good reflexes, than many other people in their early 60’s.

FLOW 🌊 | Day 5 | Represent | January 6, 2024 | What a most delicious practice, I didn't want it to end! I love, love, love the idea of inviting my inner being to take the wheel when I step on the mat. To move the way my inner being would move, like someone who truly adores being in my body. This is something I'll take with me to every practice from this day forward, I already had the intention of being present on the mat, but this is taking that presence one step further. To truly connect with my inner being before starting. What an amazing moment you gave us Adriene! 🙏
Loved this practice, I could really feel the negative energy leaving my body as I breathed out and the positivity and light coming inward as I breathe in.
